AMEE Barcelona 2016 - Tours, Transfers & Gala Dinner

Tours

During the AMEE 2016 Conference, there will be a number of tours available in and around Barcelona. You will have the opportunity to book tickets for the tours through the separate Tours and Transfers booking site by clicking on the link below, following completion of your registration or at the Tours Desk onsite in Barcelona, subject to availability.

We have tried to provide an interesting and varied tour programme in Barcelona enabling you to combine your conference sessions with an overview of the city. Please see below for further details.

Guests are able to participate in tours without the main delegate being in attendance. Our aim is to make your guests' stay equally as enjoyable as your own, so whilst you are planning your conference sessions, why not look at booking tours for your guests.

Gala Dinner

Airport Transfers

The following arrival and/or departure transfers can be booked through the booking site.

From Barcelona International Airport/Barcelona Sants Railway Station to your hotel or the convention centre (CCIB)

Car for up to 3 people - €50

Minivan for up to 6 people - €75

Booking Terms and Conditions for Tours & Transfers

Tours

Payment for tours must be received by Friday 22nd July 2016. After this date, any unpaid tours will be cancelled and released for general sale.

You will still be able to book tours after 22nd July 2016, dependent on availability, however they will need to be paid for at time of booking.

All tours cancelled after 22nd July 2016 are non-refundable and will incur a 100% cancellation charge.

Should minimum numbers not be reached for any tour, we reserve the right to cancel the tour, in which case you will be informed immediately by email and provided with a full refund or alternative options.

Any remaining places on tours can be booked from the Tours Desk during the conference, however we would advise that you book early to avoid disappointment.

Prior to the start of the AMEE Conference, you will be provided with a confirmation email providing any specific information relating to the tours you have booked. You may be required to provide a copy of this email prior to joining the tour. Printed or electronic copies will be accepted.

Transfers

Payment for transfers must be received by Friday 12th August 2016. Any transfers not paid for by this date will be cancelled. Any transfers booked after this date must be paid for at time of booking.

Please be aware that any waiting-time charges incurred from the transport company will be passed to the delegate for payment. This will apply regardless of the reason for the delay. The following waiting times are included within the cost of the transfer:

Arrival at Airport – 1 hour

Arrival at Sants Station – 30 minutes

Departure from hotel/CCIB – 15 minutes

Any waiting time over the above times will be charged at €25 per hour.

Cancellations made up to 24 hours prior to transfer time will be refunded in full but will incur a €10 admin charge. Transfers cancelled less than 24 hours prior to transfer time will be charged in full.
