Walking Tour through the Gothic Quarter including La Boqueria Market
The Gothic Quarter is bordered by Barcelona’s main
square, Plaça Catalunya, and the world-famous “Ramblas” and this will be the
starting point for this walking tour.
You will walk down this amazing boulevard lined with flower stalls, newsstands
and street artists until you reach the “Monument A Colom”, a 60 metre-high
statue in honour of Columbus.
Next stop is La Boqueria Market, one of the finest
food markets in the world, a fascinating place with many things to see and
taste, and of course, time for a little souvenir shopping.
Following the streets of the Gothic Quarter you
will eventually reach the Gothic Cathedral.
A guided tour will show you the interior of this magnificent building,
including the numerous side chapels and the Cloister with its gardens, fountain
and even geese, once used to warn the occupants of intruders.
