Full-day tour of Codorniu Winery and Sitges

This full day tour will start in the beautiful coastal fishing village of Sitges, located approximately 35 km southwest of Barcelona and well known for its beaches and historical sites.

On arrival at Sitges you will be able to walk along the beach to the Old Town.  Here you will have time to wander around the shops, or have a coffee in one of the many cafés.

A guided tour of the Can Ferrat Museum, plus the Palau Maricel, is included.  The majority of exhibits in the museum are by the artist, Santiago Rusiñol, however many of the leading Catalan artists of the late 19th and early 20th centuries are represented.

A 3-course lunch plus drinks will be provided at the Sol i Vi Restaurant.  The menu will be provided closer to the date of the tour and special diets will be requested at time of booking.

The afternoon will be spent at the Codorniu, claimed to be the largest producer of cava in the world.  It has managed to keep the charm and ambience of its original architecture, while the contemporary buildings blend perfectly into the landscape.

The guided tour will include an introduction to the winery, its history and the processes involved in making the wine and cava.

The visit ends in the beautiful salon and garden area of Codorníu for a wine-tasting session (restricted to visitors ages 18 years and over), followed by a wander around the shop, if time permits.
