2014 TAPPI-PIMA Student Summit

Interviewing

How do I submit my resume?
Information on the resume submission process can be found here. Please note that anyone who wishes to have their resume available for interviewing companies to view must be registered to attend 2014 Student Summit before their resume will be posted.

Who will see my resume?
Any exhibiting company who has elected to hold interviews at Student Summit will have access to your resume.

How will I know if I'm selected to be interviewed?
You will be contacted directly by a representative from any company who would like to schedule an interview with you.

What if no one from a particular company contacted me for an interview, but I want to interview with them?
If you were not contacted to be interviewed by a certain company, it may be that they are not holding interviews at Student Summit. If they are holding interviews at Student Summit and you were not contacted for an interview, there will be opportunities throughout the weekend to chat with a representative and give them your resume. In addition to Saturday evening's Career Fair, exhibitors will be at their exhibit tables during lunch on Saturday to meet students and answer questions.

Where are the interviews being held?
Interviews will take place at the Moon Library on SUNY's campus. When you arrive at the front door of the library, there will be a small reception area with couches and chairs. Please wait there for an interviewer to find you.

What should I bring to the interview?
You should bring plenty of copies of your resume and any materials that the interviewer requested. This may include a portfolio, cover letter or school transcripts.

What should I wear to my interview?
Our recommended attire for interviews (as well as the rest of the conference) is Business Casual.

Will I have any other opportunities to land an interview onsite?
Yes. Exhibitors will be at their exhibit tables during lunch on Saturday and during the Career Fair on Saturday evening. We recommend stopping by their table and chatting with any company you'd like to interview with and providing them a copy of your resume.

Do you have any tips for writing my resume or going on an interview?
