When should I arrive?
Most students will get into town first thing Saturday morning. This year, we are allowing interviewing companies to begin interviewing students as early as Friday at 2:00 pm. The program itself begins at 10:00 am on Saturday. You should plan to arrive in time to take a shuttle to the Gateway Center (a 5 minute ride from the hotel) and stop by registration by 10:00 am on Saturday. A tentative schedule can be found here.
When should I book my hotel?
As soon as you know your travel plans and definitely before Christmas! Most hotels require a credit card number to hold the room, but will not require payment until arrival or checkout. The hotel will book up quickly and the cutoff date to get the conference discount is Friday, December 20 at 5:00 pm.
Will there be shuttles to & from the airport?
We will not be providing shuttles from the airport this year. Syracuse Hancock International Airport offers most major rental car agencies as well as metered taxi service from within the airport. The Sheraton Syracuse University offers a complimentary airport shuttle for its registered guests. This shuttle is a small van and must be reserved ahead of time through the hotel. How far is it from the airport?
The Sheraton Syracuse University and SUNY Gateway Center are located approximately 9 miles from Syracuse Hancock International Airport.
How far is the Gateway Center from the Sheraton?
The Gateway Center is located approximately 1 mile from the Sheraton. If you'd like to walk, you would just walk straight through Syracuse University Campus and past the Carrier Dome. Syracuse University is sandwiched between the hotel and the Gateway Center.
Does the hotel have breakfast?
The Sheraton has a restaurant that serves breakfast, but does not offer continental breakfast. Breakfast is included in the program at the Gateway Center on Sunday morning and will be provided for our group in the ballroom of the Sheraton on Monday morning before the tours.
