Bio
Paul is a Policy Officer for the Scottish Government, with responsibility for hydropower policy. Working within the Renewables Routemap team, Paul’s role involves advising Ministers on key policy decisions and working with a wide range of stakeholders to help facilitate the growth of the hydro sector, largely through actions outlined under the Renewables Route Map. Prior to moving to the policy environment, Paul worked for 5 years in the Energy Consents Team where he managed a case load of applications for large scale generating stations and facilitated the Forum for Renewable Energy Development in Scotland (FREDS) Subgroup on Planning and Consents.
