The British Hydropower Association (BHA) is pleased to present its 11th annual conference - the only national conference and technical exhibition wholly dedicated to our diverse and exciting hydropower industry. This two-day event will again take place in Glasgow - one of Britain's most vibrant and cosmopolitan cities and the gateway to Scotland's famed Highlands - and will incorporate a comprehensive an stimulating conference programme, a technical exhibition showcasing recent innovations, expertise and solutions, and a conference dinner providing an exclusive opportunity to relax and network with colleagues and friends, both old and new. If you are involved in hydropower, this is an event not to be missed!

This year we would like to demonstrate what a roller coaster of an industry we work in. We are all well aware of the multiplicity of types of hydro schemes, water turbine designs and weather patterns to be taken into account. Add to this the vagaries of energy development policy and environmental regulation and you have a very potent mix of variables. And this is the case not only in the UK but also throughout Europe. It is on of the BHA's roles to showcase how we manage to ride the roller coaster and the annual conference is our prime opportunity. The conference programme is currently being finalised and will include high level speakers from the Government and the hydropower sector and will attract a superior delegation of industry leaders, key decision-makers, government departments, entrepreneurs, academics and other stakeholders, with keynote addresses invited from both the Scottish Government and the Department of Energy & Climate Change.
