BHA Annual Conference 2012 - Championing through diversity

This year we would like to demonstrate what a roller coaster of an industry we work in. We are all well aware of the multiplicity of types of hydro schemes, water turbine designs and weather patterns to be taken into account. Add to this the vagaries of energy development policy and environmental regulation and you have a very potent mix of variables. And this is the case not only in the UK but also throughout Europe. It is one of the BHA's roles to showcase how we manage to ride the roller coaster and the annual conference is our prime opportunity.

The conference programme is currently being finalised and will include high level speakers from the Government and the hydropower sector, including a keynote address from Fergus Ewing MSP, Minister for Energy, Enterprise & Tourism, and will attract a superior delegation of industry leaders, key decision-makers, government departments, entrepreneurs, academics and other stakeholders.

The conference programme is constantly being updated. Please keep checking it for the latest version.
