FOR PHYSICIANS

iiCME Continuing Medical Education Credits:

MedAxiom has entered a joint sponsorship agreement with the International Institute for Continuing Medical Education (iiCME) to provide AMA PRA Category 1 CME credits to healthcare professionals who attend our conferences. Our goal is to enhance the experience and commitment many of our physicians are making toward understanding the complexities of the new healthcare delivery system and to bring this information back to their organizations to truly make a difference.

Who is eligible to receive the AMA PRA Category 1 CME credits?

Physicians (MDs, DOs or those with equivalent degrees earned outside the U.S.) may apply for the AMA PRA Category 1 credits if they hold a valid and current license issued by either one of the U.S., Canadian, or Mexican licensing jurisdictions, or are engaged in residency training in an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited program. Some non-physician health professionals who are board certified by some specialty boards are also eligible for AMA PRA Category 1 credits. Please check with your specialty board to see what credentials they require. RN and LPN nurse continuing education is mandated by each state and state requirements vary greatly. Some states accept Category A CME credits. iiCME provides Category A CME credits.

NOTE: You must sign in on the iiCME attendance sheet at each session (pre-cons, general sessions and breakouts) to earn credits. You are also responsible for turning in your CME Credit Claim Form (that you will be given with your badge at registration) at the end of the conference. Please hand in the Credit Claim Form at the registration desk completely filled out, dated, and signed at the end of the conference. Without this, iiCME will NOT grant your CME certificate!!

FOR ACCOUNTANTS

CPE Credit

For CPAs and Accountants. You must sign in each morning. There are a maximum of 20.40 credits. They are calculated differently than CME: 50 minutes = 1 credit hour.

20.40 CPE hours for attending precons 1 & 2 and the entire 3 day program

or

17.40 CPE hours for attending only precon 1 and the 3 day program
18.90 CPE hours for attending only precon 2 and the 3 day program
15.90 CPE hours for attending only the 3 day program

The National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) acknowledges and provides credit for all CPA (certified professional accountants) participation in MedAxiom’s conferences. All sessions are led by qualified facilitators. In accordance with the standards of the National Registry of CPE Sponsors, CPE credits have been granted based on a 50-minute hour. Instructional delivery method was “Group-Live.” MedAxiom is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
