Petrel Velocity Models Based on Well Data

This webinar will cover different methods to build velocity model in Petrel using well time-depth relationship and well tops as input. Explanation on the parameters in the velocity modelling process as well as recommendations on QC workflows will also be covered. This session is suitable for anyone who needs to build simple or more advanced velocity models without a seismic velocity cube.

Stochastic Depth Conversion Workflow in Petrel

This webinar illustrates a depth conversion philosophy that has been developed in Petrel to capture the range of volumetric uncertainty when assessing frontier acreage prospectivity. The example area encompasses a highly variable overburden with a chalk layer of varying thickness, together with thick clastic infill in areas of salt withdrawal moving laterally to thin clastic cover over salt diapirs. The impact of such overburden variation on the underlying target structure is captured by this workflow.
