| Session 2 | Handling Convergence Problems During Simulation Simulation Convergence problems have been around for a very long time. Here, the software struggles to converge at the accepted tolerance criteria for the simulation to progress further. The issues include input data, missing or inadequate simulation or well controls and much more. All these could result in non-convergence of our reservoir simulation models leading to a long simulation time. This presentation outlines the fundamentals of handling simulation convergence problems, case studies and approaches on how to quickly diagnose and resolve these problems. Olamide Arogundade |
