Louise is a key member of Clearswift's Global Human Resources team providing professional advice and recruitment support to staff and management across its regions. Her role involves developing and implementing company HR policies and procedures, advising on legislative requirements, managing staff surveys and HR projects, and coaching staff to enhance performance.

Louise is also the key driver of developing and coordinating the company's award-winning Employee Health and Wellbeing Program that enables Clearswift to attract and retain world-class staff.

Renu Birla, rewards strategy manager, Coventry University

Renu Birla leads Reward Strategy at Coventry University. She brings to the role over 15 years of wide-ranging experience on reward and taxation across the private, public and higher education sectors – both in-house and as a consultant. Her various roles have included providing strategic Board level advice and designing and delivering strategically aligned total reward and performance schemes. Renu is a qualified solicitor.

With a BSc (Hons) in Sport, Health, Exercise and Nutrition from the University of Leeds, Gary started his career coaching professional athletes. He then went on to build a thriving personal training business in West Yorkshire, working with a diverse range of clients. Later, Gary saw an opportunity to combine his boundless enthusiasm and expertise within the health and fitness industry with Andy Dodman's desire to augment workforce health and wellbeing. Since then, they have co-created Juice, an award winning staff wellbeing offer at The University of Sheffield and beyond.

Following Juice's success at the University, the subsidiary Everyday Juice Limited was created in 2015, and Gary now manages the health and wellbeing provision for organisations ranging from the SME to large employers through their cloud-based Juice Platform, activity provision, and consultancy services.

Carl heads up the Workplace Health team at Barnett Waddingham who specialise in health and protection consultancy as well as building bespoke reward and wellbeing strategies for corporate clients both online and offline.
Carl is passionate about helping companies achieve a return on their reward spend through increased wellbeing and has worked with many companies in building their unique wellbeing strategies.
His extensive experience and knowledge of Health, Protection and Wellbeing have resulted in Barnett Waddingham being named Best Wellbeing Provider and Reward provider of the year at the 2016 VIB Awards along with Best Workplace Wellbeing Intermediary at the 2015 Health Insurance Awards.

Rachel Clacher co-founded Moneypenny with her brother Ed Reeves in 2000. Today it is the world's leading provider of telephone answering and outsourced switchboard services, annually handling in excess of 10 million calls on behalf of more than 8,500 companies across the UK. With headquarters in Wrexham, Moneypenny has offices in the US and New Zealand, and is in the top 5 of The Sunday Times' 100 Best Companies to Work For' list.
Today Rachel remains focussed on the company's strategic direction, sits on a number of boards, speaks regularly at business events as well as running Moneypenny Foundation; a charity established to bring new opportunities in life and work to unemployed young people.

Evan Davidge is Head of Reward for Arup, a global multi-disciplinary professional services organisation. His responsibilities include the UK Wellbeing Project Leader where he has led an award winning programme that has achieved high engagement and delivered significant benefits to the business. Evan has over 20 years' experience in human resources, where he has mainly specialised in total reward and employee benefits. Following a long career as an RAF officer, he has worked across most sectors in HR/reward roles, including financial services, central government and professional services. Evan also operates as a freelance reward consultant and he is a founder member of Reward Consulting Partners. Evan is a thought leader on a wide range of reward management topics and he is an accredited trainer for the World at Work Association and the CIPD, where he holds Chartered status.

Jo joined Aggregate Industries in June 2002 as a graduate trainee where she was responsible for delivering IT nationally across the 6,500 employees across 350 locations.

Since then Jo has worked in a variety of IT & HR roles supporting the business and delivering change initiatives across a multi-site organisation.

Jo now reports into the HR Director and partners with the business director for the Cement & Concrete Products division, as well as leading the organisations Healthy You programme.

Ian is business development manager at WEALTH at work.
He has 30 years' experience in the pension and benefits industry which includes the design and delivery of employee benefit programmes in the workplace, as well as engagement strategies for employers of all size and sectors.
Ian is currently working with a number of companies on developing their financial education strategies, as a result of the regulatory changes, to help employees understand their retirement income options.

Andrew Dodman, director of human resources, University of Sheffield

Andy Dodman is the Director of Human Resources at The University of Sheffield. Andy leads the University's HR strategy and service delivery for its 8,100 staff, focusing on the attraction, growth and engagement of world class talent.

Andy is also the Chair of the Russell Group HR Directors Forum (representing the leading UK research-intensive universities) and is a member of the Universities HR (UHR) national executive committee.

During 2015, Andy was nominated as HR Director of the Year (Personnel Today, HR Distinction Awards and HR Excellence Awards) and was listed in the UK Top 10 of HR Magazine's 'Most Influential HR Practitioners'.

He recently launched a new commercial business, Everyday Juice Limited, offering an innovative system for delivering wellbeing at work.

Andy was educated at the University of Bath (BSc) and the University of Leeds (MBA) and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development.

Chris is a senior member of Legal & General's distribution team with over 30 years' experience of health and protection markets, as both provider and intermediary.
A Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute, his wealth of experience embraces all group protection disciplines from scheme pricing and design to proactive claims management.
Chris is passionate about the value and importance of group protection benefits, working closely with HR business partners across a broad client spectrum to raise awareness and optimise engagement of these benefits.

Judith Grant, group head of occupational health & wellbeing, Royal Mail Group

Judith Grant has been Head of Occupational Health and Wellbeing at Royal Mail Group for over two years. At Royal Mail Group Judith is responsible for developing and delivering wellbeing strategy and programmes in addition to overseeing the occupational health and wellbeing contracts. Currently studying part time for a PhD in Occupational Health Psychology and Management at the University of Nottingham, Judith has an interest in academic research on workplace wellbeing, and her thesis is focused on socioeconomic status, obesity and dietary behaviours. With a background that includes working in community health for a local authority, in corporate health promoting wellbeing programmes to businesses and personal training both for a gym and privately, Judith has a varied background in health and wellbeing promotion.

James Hyde is Head of HR and OD with Cafcass. He has been with the organisation since March 2007, having initially joined as an HR Manager and becoming Senior HR Manager before being promoted in January 2016 to head-up the function. Prior to Cafcass, James held roles at Education Leeds as Senior HR Business Partner and with Ernst & Young in their Human Capital / Global Employment Solutions function.

With over 15 years' experience as an operational and strategic HR & OD professional, James is an exponent of business-focused and outcomes-driven HR. During his time at Cafcass he has been part of the leadership of an HR service that has been at the forefront of transforming a once failing organisation into a sector-leading one, creating a workplace culture characterised by high performance, positive engagement, health & wellbeing, learning & development, job enrichment and re-defined career opportunities. Cafcass' multi-award winning HR service was acclaimed as the Best Public Sector HR Team in 2014 at the Personnel Today Awards; it has long been recognised as an integral business partner in the delivery of frontline social work practice in Cafcass, which represents some of the most vulnerable children in society who are subject to family court cases.

Phil's role in Fit for Work is to raise awareness amongst employers and GPs and work with them to maximise the use of the free Fit for Work service. Having launched in the past few months, to all users, Fit for Work is now promoting strongly to employers across England and Wales whilst maintaining its engagement with GPs.

Prior to Fit for Work Phil held similar roles with Royal Mail, the Police and Sheffield College and a variety of roles in the charity and voluntary sectors. All have had their exciting challenges but Fit for Work offers the uniqueness of a new start up business combined with a national awareness campaign, which ensures no day is the same or ever dull! Outside of work Phil enjoy motorbikes and foreign travel.

With a wide and varied remit his role encompasses many aspects, including assisting employers with the implementation of wellbeing strategies which have mental health at their heart.

Philip McCrea, managing director, BHSF Occupational Health

Philip McCrea, managing director, BHSF Occupational Health

Philip is an expert in occupational health, having spent 28 of his 30 years as a doctor working full time with OH. Philip has been a consultant in Occupational Medicine to over 1,000 corporate clients and has extensive experience in the management of mental health issues in the workplace, specifically stress-related illness. He has acted as an expert in 168 Industrial Tribunals and court appearances, more than any other occupational health practitioner in the UK.

Karim has over 20 years’ experience in developing and building businesses. Karim has operated as CEO or managing director of a number of software businesses and has led them to successful exits realising significant gains for existing investors and shareholders. Prior to leading Balmoral Financial, Karim was Chief Executive at Helveta, a specialist traceability technology company, was Managing Director of OpenBet and Chief Executive Officer of Financial Objects PLC, an AIM listed financial services software company. Karim is a fluent Spanish, French and Portuguese speaker.

Naomi is a Head of PwC's Employee Benefit Team. Naomi advises corporate clients across all sectors on their employee benefit proposition. Naomi has specific experience in the healthcare, protection, Occupational Health and wellness sectors on a UK basis and advising clients on multi-national pooling arrangements.
Naomi is experienced in Employee benefit strategy, placement of benefits including the design, financing and implementation of schemes.
Prior to joining PwC Naomi was Head of the Healthcare Pillar at Mercer Ltd.

John Timpson, chairman, Timpson

John Timpson, chairman, Timpson

John Timpson was educated at Oundle and Nottingham University.

The Timpson family business was taken over in 1973, but 10 years later John led a £42m management buyout. In 1987 he sold the shoe shops and concentrated on building the shoe repairing and key cutting business, which has diversified into engraving, watch repairs, dry cleaning and photo processing.

Timpson now has over 1500 branches nationwide, including the Max Spielmann and Snappy Snaps brands and a successful Timpson Locksmiths business. The Group has a turnover of over £200m and profits of over £25m. It is a private business wholly owned by John Timpson and his family. Timpson is recognised for its creative approach to employee engagement and innovative work helping ex-offenders – it is the UK's most active employer of people from prison.

Recently widowed, John Timpson was married to his wife Alex for 47 years. He has five children Victoria (47), James (44), Edward (42), together with Oliver (40) and Henry (28).

John and his wife were also foster carers for 31 years, during which time they fostered 90 children.

In 2000 he wrote 'Dear James,' which passes on to his son James, now Timpson's CEO, the lessons learned in 25 years as a Chief Executive. A management maverick, he describes his business philosophy in 'How to Ride a Giraffe', 'Upside Down Management' and 'Ask John'. His latest book 'High Street Heroes' was published in 2015.

He has a weekly column in the Daily Telegraph.

In 2004 he was awarded the CBE in the Birthday Honours List for Services to the Retail Sector.

Ron Wheatcroft, technical manager, Swiss Re

Ron Wheatcroft is Technical Manager for Swiss Re's UK life and health business.

He is the author of its Group Watch market reports and co-author of its series of strategic market reviews branded as the Insurance Report. He leads Swiss Re's work with UK legislators and regulators, seeking ways to ensure the market works well for employers providing group risk benefits, their workforce and the organisations involved in providing them.

He led Swiss Re's work identifying the Life Assurance and Disability Protection Gaps in the UK which has become the model used across many other international markets.

He is a Board Member of the Investment & Life Assurance Group, a member of the group risk trade body' GRiD's Regulations Committee and Raising the Profile Working Party, and the Social Care Working Party at the Association of British Insurers.

JA Chartered Insurer, Ron is a past winner of the Protection Review Lifetime Achievement Award.
