Andrew Hammonds, Director of Placefocus, is an Urban Planner with more than 20 years experience and a practitioner in urban design. He has worked across private enterprise, public service, academia and professional associations.

Placefocus helps people convert urban spaces into places and, ultimately, destinations.  Andrew’s skills in placemaking, training and facilitation are built upon a broad platform of qualifications in urban planning, urban design and environmental science.



Christopher Vanneste is Head of Locations for GoGet, Australia’s first and largest professional car sharing service and operating in four states.

Christopher joined the GoGet Team in 2013, and he has become integral to the company's growth.

He has worked with local councils, developers and major corporate partners, including Frasers and IKEA, to help expand GoGet's network from 530 cars and 11,000 members in 2011 to over 2,000 cars and nearly 70,000 members today. 


Gary Takle is an Australian architectural commentator and television personality. He hosts Australia’s Best Houses on the Seven Network in Australia.

He hosts a fortnightly segment on the Seven Network’s Morning Show which discusses everything to do with property, house and home. He was the publisher of Abode magazine in Australia for over ten years and has published over 17 books on home and garden design worldwide. 







With over 25 years experience in the IT industry Michael is the Founder and CEO of bidRhino.   Michael was a member of the team that developed the world's first smartphone, the HTC manufactured O2 xda. His experience includes senior management positions sales, strategy, design, engineering, service delivery and project management.

Michael started bidRhino.com after identifying a gap in the market for online property transactions.  With the growth of e-commerce and internet access and mobility, online transactions seemed the next logical step for the property industry and thus bidRhino was born.





Jack Quigley is the Founder and Managing Director of CrowdfundUP, Australia's first property crowdfunding company.

Lucinda Hartley, is CEO and Co-Founder of CoDesign Studio, a placemaking consultancy committed to reinventing Australian neighbourhoods through tactical and community-led projects.

Lucinda is a landscape architect, urbanist, placemaker and social entrepreneur. She is a United Nations’ UN-HABITAT Youth Advisory Board member and a thought leader on innovative urban development. The publications she has co-authored, namely the Tactical Urbanism Guide vol 4 and the Rapid Urban Revitalisation Toolkit have each reached thousands of downloads.








Dr Michael Hewitt-Gleeson is one of Australia’s most inspiring speakers of international reputation. He is known as ‘the father of x10 thinking’ the strategy that drove the transformation of GE in the 80s and 90s.

Rick Chen is an entrepreneur with a strong focus on new media design. He has a keen interest in web-based technology, user interface design and innovative ideas that change people's behaviour.

Rick co-founded Australia's first crowdfunding platform Pozible in 2010, which has become the 3rd largest crowdfunding platform worldwide. In 2013, Rick was selected by The Australian newspaper as one of the top 20 Australians to watch for the year.
