Network Function Virtualization and Software Defined Services
Virtualized Network Services with Nuage VNS
This demonstartion will show you how easy it is to onboard a new location in the enterprise network environment.
#1. Configure the network.
#2. Courier the branch image or device.
#3. Authenticate the device to the network once received.
And "we are done"! Just 3 easy steps to launch Nuage Networks Virtualized Network Services.
Cloud Packet Core
This demonstration will show Nokia’s technology leadership in designing and developing a cloud-optimized packet core network. The Cloud Packet Core is a common core to support multiple RATs (cellular, Wi-Fi and fixed), multiple services (mobile broadband, massive IoT/M2M, and critical MTC, Machine Type Communications) and multiple network and service operators. It’s built with NFV/SDN and cloud technologies to deliver the scale, performance and flexibility needed for delivering today’s services with an evolutionary path to 5G for tomorrow’s opportunities.
Compact Mobile Unit
The network function virtualization (NFV) of the evolved packet core (EPC) elements has brought a new product from Nokia called “9430 Compact Mobile Unit (CMU)”. The combined virtualization of the Serving Gateway (SGW), Packet Gateway (PGW) and Mobility Management Entity (MME) into a single Nokia Airframe Cloud Server platform that allows operators to create new or parallel EPC networks with ease to address Enterprise M2M services and open smaller vertical segments. The Compact Mobile Unit (CMU) takes advantage of the proven and operational software streams from our packet core, which have been optimized for NFV/Software Defined Network (SDN). The CMU will offer several redundancy models to provide that expected “Carrier Grade” resilency that operators are accustom.

Rapid Network Expansion using VSR and SAM
Enabling new markets on the network can be expensive and time consuming. This demo shows how Nokia’s VSR coupled with the SAM suite of products can enable your network to address new markets rapidly with whilst reducing the cost barrier to entry and the risk associated with doing so. The demo shows end-to-end integration of Nokia’s solutions to deploy, operate, dynamically shrink and grow and decommission virtualised routing functions.

Elastic Video Delivery
With the increased deployment of virtualised network functions (VNFs) and functionality moving to the cloud, Nokia's Elastic Video Delivery products allow resources to be allocated more flexibly, when and where they are needed to help customers better manage the changes in traffic that they are seeing. For example, during a major sporting event or incident, the provider can dynamically provision virtualized machines in minutes rather than weeks or months and cache popular content closer to users to better manage video traffic over their networks. Once demand has slowed, extra capacity can be released and used on other applications or services. The demonstration shows an Elastic Content Distribution Network (CDN) dynamically scaling up and down video streaming capacity while a Nuage controlled Software Defined Network (SDN) automatically provisions and configures the required network connectivity inside the Data Centre.
