30th Annual National MPS Society Family Conference
 

The conference scholarship deadline for the annual family conference and CYCLE was June 1, 2016.  If your family is newly diagnosed, please contact laurie@mpssociety.org for information regarding our newly diagnosed conference scholarship program. 




The National MPS Society is pleased to offer scholarships to our Annual Family Conference and our CYCLE Conference.  Scholarships will be awarded to a mother, father or legal guardian of a child with an MPS or related disease,
(travel and hotel funding for adults with MPS or a related disease is available through the SPIRIT conference registration). 

Family Conference Scholarship Information: 

Scholarships will help enable families and individuals, who are not financially able, to attend the conference. Preference is given to families attending a conference for the first time. The exact number of scholarships offered will be determined by the requests received and the financial needs of the applicant.

Family Conference Scholarship can be allocated to hotel (maximum of three nights) and travel reimbursement (maximum of $500).

CYCLE Conference Scholarship Information:

Scholarships will help enable families that have lost a loved one, and are not financially able to attend the family and CYCLE conference.  The exact number of scholarships offered will be determined by the requests received and the financial needs of the applicant. 

CYCLE Conference Scholarship can be allocated to hotel (up to three nights if attending both family and CYCLE conference or one night if only CYCLE conference) and travel reimbursement (maximum of $500).

Criteria for applying:

  • Member in good standing of the National MPS Society
  • Parent or legal guardian of a child with an MPS or related disease OR adult with an MPS or related disease
  • U.S. resident
  • Application must be completed electronically using our online application program
  • Applicant must provide a letter stating why they want to attend the conference and how they or their family may benefit.

The application form and explanatory letter must be completed and submitted electronically no later than June 1, 2016. 

Go to https://mps.onlineapplications.net/ applications/. If you are a first-time user, click on “Register Now” to set up your account. Once you are logged in, open the correct 2016 Conference Scholarship Application. If you are a returning user, simply log in and apply.

Application deadline : June 1, 2016.  If you are a newly diagnosed family and joined the Society membership after June 1, please contact laurie@mpssociety.org for additional information. 

Scholarship awards will be announced in June.
