Course Objectives

As a result of participating in this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe new and established biomarkers in tumor pathology and their role in personalized medicine
  • Implement new technologies in the field of pathology to improve cancer diagnostic abilities
  • Integrate a multidisciplinary approach to tumor diagnosis and treatment
  • Recognize basic concepts and measures for error reduction in Anatomic Pathology
  • Identify the utility and future potential of automated image analysis in Diagnostic Pathology
  • Apply diagnostic criteria, immunohistochemical studies and molecular studies and molecular testing to the diagnosis of tumors in pathology and cytopathology
  • Describe the use of molecular and genomic testing in cancer diagnosis and treatment


Course Description

The conference will bring together experts in the developing fields of cytopathology, molecular diagnostics, and pathology for immunotherapy for a 2 ½ day program that will provide updates on emerging trends and biomarkers, as well as the latest on cytopathology and immunotherapy for various challenging cancers. The conference will feature: interactive presentations, break-out sessions, posters, case reviews, industry exhibits and networking opportunities.
