Container Operations and the Ship/Port Interface: Challenges and Developments

A Technical Seminar from ICHCA International

Tuesday 19 - Wednesday 20 May 2015 | Transnet Maritime School of Excellence, Durban, South Africa

Improving the safety and productivity of container operations is a truly cross party issue. Ship designers, owners and financiers, classification societies and insurers, container designers and owners, ocean carriers, port and terminal operators, stevedores and lashers, equipment and technology suppliers and legislators all have a stake.

In order to address this important issue, ICHCA and the South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA) will be hosting a two-day educational event on what the industry can do to reduce the risks and inefficiencies associated with container operations at the ship/port interface.
