Getting around the city is simple and easy. The central city area is so compact you can walk almost anywhere within 15-20 minutes from our venues. However, when you do need to use transport, taxis, buses and trains are all easily accessible and run regularly. Stepping outGetting around Wellington on foot is the easiest way of getting from A to B. With the central business district no longer than 5 kms from end to end and the widest point only 1.5kms with all the major hotels, shops and restaurants located in this busy central area... using your feet is easy and simple and there is lots to see between destinations. Catch the trainWellington Train Station is located on Bunny Street. From the station it is a 5-10 minute walk to the TSB Bank Arena and Shed 6. Wellington Railway Station is the southern terminus of New Zealand's North Island main trunk railway, Wairarapa Line and Johnsonville Line. Hop on a busWellington has an extensive network of bus routes. Any stop on the Lambton Quay bus route and a short walk will take you to the TSB Bank Arena and Shed 6 located at Queens Wharf on Jervois Quay. The Stagecoach Flyer bus will take you between the airport and downtown Wellington and north through to the Hutt Valley. The Stagecoach flyer can best be located at Cuba Street. Hail a taxiTaxis are reasonably priced and plentiful in Wellington. A dedicated taxi rank is located outside all venues, and drivers are very familiar with the TSB Bank Arena and Shed 6. Taxis to and from the Wellington Airport to the central business district on average should cost no more than $25.
