How to Intentionally Implement Inclusion, Diversity and Equity in My Goodwill
HRCI Credit (3.25)

In today's changing world, the ability to effectively work across cultures is essential to organizational success. Diverse culture extends beyond the visible differences between people such as gender or race; it includes backgrounds, personality, life experiences and beliefs. Do you know if you have the variety of perspective necessary to deal with complex problems and create innovative solutions? Are you fully valuing and leveraging the potential of all your employees?

By drawing on the strength of diversity and inclusion, we can build on Goodwill’s continued growth in the United States, Canada and around the world.  Embracing diversity and inclusion will allow to meet new challenges and to create opportunity and prosperity for our service clients, employees and communities.

During this workshop attendees will explore the intersections between diversity, inclusion and talent development within the Goodwill context.  Through various learning activities, including group presentations, external diversity andiInclusion experts, and Goodwills leading diversity and inclusion initiatives throughout the enterprise, attendees will identify the role that diversity and inclusion has played in their own learning and how to apply this in their role within their own organizations.

The Goodwill Model
Goodwill is accelerating progress it is make to promote college readiness.  Goodwill Industries International has developed a comprehensive approach to career navigation.  It supports nontraditional learners and workers who are unemployed, underemployed, or mal-employed in work that does not use their skills and work experience.  Included in our career navigation framework are strategies that 1) encourage and promote college readiness, 2) equip individuals to make informed training and career choices, 3) support training persistence and credential attainment, and 4) create on-ramps to middle skilled careers.
