THE FOUNDATION

 

Paolo Sorbini Foundation "for science in nutrition" was founded by Maurizia, Pino and Alberto Sorbini to remember their father, enthusiast researcher in the science of nutrition and founder of Also, now Enervit S.p.A.

 

The mission of the Foundation, which is a no-profit organization, is to promote the scientific research in the field of nutrition and to spread its results. The purpose is to improve the psychophysical efficiency – in sport and in everyday life – and to prevent all the pathologies related to sedentary life, mistakes in nutrition and aging.  The importance of a correct nutrition is socially acknowledged as something essential for a good quality of life.

 

The Foundation is under the guide of a Scientific Committee, which conducts the activities with the collaboration of public and private institutions and with Italians and foreign universities. The Foundations areas of interest are: research, health and education


Research Area

 

The Foundation works to support and spread the clinical knowledge in nutrition under all its aspects: preventive, specialist, diagnostic and therapeutic and through the promotion of research activity, professional update, continuous education and the spreading of the culture of a correct nutrition through the organization of congresses, seminars, practical courses, stages and participation in clinical cases.

 

Health Area

 

The Foundation organizes and supports programmes that inform on the correct diet as the basis for a balanced and harmonic development of human being and the achievement of psychophysical well-being. In particular the Foundation considers as fundamental to educate young people especially those who go in for sport.


Education Area


The Foundation considers of great importance to give scientific basis to nutrition that is very often treated by inexpert people. Because of this, it is involved in publications and editorial projects that make the scientific topics on nutrition more comprehensible to a wider public.
