TOPICS AND PURPOSES OF THE CONGRESS


The 4th edition of the Congress is about topics on Positive Nutrition in regards to various aspects of anti-inflammatory diets, the correct nutrition for a healthy lifestyle, weight loss and sport performance strategies.

The Congress purpose is to promote scientific research and debate, in order to share with everyone, in particular with international institutions, doctors and families, the guidelines to good nutrition that could be useful to prevent some diseases spreading in the last years, causing body inflammation.


OFFICIAL CONGRESS LANGUAGES


The official languages of the Congress are Italian and English. Simultaneous translation services are provided for all Congress sessions.


PREVIOUS EDITION

1st International Congress “Science in Nutrition” – 7th and 8th March 2008 – Rome

 The first edition of the Congress took place in Rome at Cavalieri Hilton Hotel on Friday and Saturday, 7th - 8th March 2008, where about 300 doctors, nutritionists, pharmacists and personal trainers were present.
In all three sessions the following topics were discussed: glycemic index, glycemic load, and obesity; stress – anti-stress, aging-antiaging and pioneering nutritional frontiers in sports.

The conference abstracts were published in August 2009 as a supplement to the Journal of American College of Nutrition, a very important scientific magazine.

 

2nd International Congress “Science in Nutrition” – 5th and 6th March 2010 - Rome

The second edition of the Congress, under the title of “Glycemic index in nutrition for diets and sports” took place in Rome at Parco dei Principi Congress Center, on Friday and Saturday, 5th - 6th March 2010. Over 400 participants followed the conference sessions on: glycaemia, insulin and fullness – New frontiers in nutrition – New nutritional strategies in sports.

The abstracts of all three sessions of the Congress have been published.

 

3rd International Congress “Science in Nutrition” – 14th and 15th March 2014 - Milan

The third edition of the “Science in Nutrition” Congress, under the title of “Anti-inflammation, life quality and sports in nutrition”, took place in Milan at Principe di Savoia Hotel on Friday and Saturday, 14th - 15th of March 2014. Over 500 doctors, biologists, pharmacists and nutritionists attended the lectures presented by leading experts of nutrition and world-renowned researchers, both Italians and foreigners. The following topics were covered during the congress: anti-inflammatory diet, life quality and anti-inflammation – Sport and nutrition.

The conference abstracts were published in the supplement n°1 of the scientific magazine Journal of American College of Nutrition in 2015.
