Admission Middle Management Institute
Audience: Postsecondary (Intermediate)

Program Facilitator:

Admission Middle Management Institute serves as a unique professional development opportunity for mid-level leaders within the field of college admission. The workshop is designed to foster collegiality and transparency in the exchange of insight critical to professional advancement. AMMI challenges participants with content suggested as essential to the successful growth trajectory of mid-level admission professionals: strategic thinking, budget management, staff management, integrating technology, and more. The leadership and facilitators of this workshop utilize case studies, small group discussions, promising practices and expert panels to cultivate life-long professional competencies and connections. This workshop is ideal for those with at least 3-7 years of experience within the field.​

Chief Enrollment Officers’ Forum

Chief Enrollment Officers' Forum is designed to inform and support the efforts of senior-most enrollment and admission leaders in postsecondary institutions. The varied demands, including changing demographics, diminishing budgets and increasing accountability and transparency, heighten the need for innovative and sustainable strategies designed to achieve institutional goals. The workshop engages participants with prominent current and future considerations impacting enrollment management: diversity, access and inclusion; financial and institutional aid; organizational change and strategic planning. The leadership and facilitators of this workshop incorporate research analysis, best practices and lessons learned, as well as dialogue among peers to foster a rigorous professional learning community.

Directing a Dynamic College Counseling Program
Audience: Secondary (Intermediate, Advanced)

Directing a Dynamic College Counseling Program is an intensive preconference workshop designed to support secondary school college admission professionals, college counseling department directors and supervisors, aspiring directors, and veteran counselors, in the acquisition of essential tools, resources, and knowledge pertaining to the field. The workshop includes content focused on defining and aligning departmental vision, industry challenges and trends, as well as data analysis and leadership. The facilitators of this workshop provide hands-on training, expert panels, as well as resources to support participants.

Transitioning to Private Practice College Consulting
Audience: Secondary and Postsecondary (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced)

Transitioning to Private Practice College Counseling, presented in cooperation with the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), focuses on the keys to building a successful independent college counseling practice. Participants will gain the knowledge needed to prepare for a successful transition – discussing business issues (marketing, contracts, liability); understanding the differences between school-based and independent consulting, including parental involvement; exploring ethics, resources, field research, and more. This workshop is designed specifically for those now working as university admission officers or secondary school counselors who are considering using their existing knowledge to begin work as an Independent Educational Consultant (IEC) in the future.
