This is a two day conference that will see some of the most accomplished experts in the field of youth development, from policy, practice and research backgrounds, come together to explore the most effective and innovative ways of working with young people.

Who Should Attend? 

This conference is aimed at academics and policy makers with an interest in youth development and adolescence, as well as youth work professionals. The content will appeal to an international audience.

Conference Committee

This conference is being organised by a co-operative of organisations and institutions, all of whom are committed to changing the status quo for young people. These include Foróige, the lead partner, along with The National University of Ireland, Galway; The Atlantic Philanthropies; The National Youth Council of Ireland; The Department of Children and Youth Affairs; The Centre for Effective Services and Archways.

 
        


  
  

About Foróige


Foróige is Ireland’s leading youth organisation, working with almost 60,000 young people annually through its network of youth clubs, projects and programmes. The organisation was founded in 1952 and has since blazed a trail in the sphere of youth development.  Foróige has a wide offering of innovative youth programmes which have attracted both national and international acclaim including leadership, entrepreneurship, technology, civic engagement, health and well-being, relationships and sexuality, family support and mentoring.
