Frederick ‘Fritz’ Demopoulos, Founder & CEO, Queen’s Road Capital; Co-Founder and Former CEO, Qunar
Fritz Demopoulos has been involved in the Chinese media and Internet industries for over 15 years as an executive, investor and entrepreneur.
 
In 2005 Fritz co-founded China's largest online travel website, Qunar, which listed on the NASDAQ in 2013.  He also co-founded China's biggest online sports media website, Shawei, which was acquired by Hutchison Whampoa-affiliate Tom.com. 

Additionally, he held senior executive positions in China with Netease, Hai Run Media Group and The News Corporation Limited.
 
Residing in Hong Kong, Fritz currently coordinates his investment and entrepreneurial activities through Queen’s Road Capital.

Mark Hsu, General Partner & Founder, Pinehurst Advisors
Mark has been a serial entrepreneur since 1994 when he co-founded Sinanet, the predecessor company to Sina.com. In 1999, he co-founded Skysoft, the maker of KKman, the #1 BBS software, and KKBox, the most successful music streaming service in Taiwan. Mark is also founder and chairman at Envision Study Group, an education company that spans Taiwan, Thailand and China. He is an active angel investor and mentor to entrepreneurs in Taiwan. Mark holds a B.S. in Biology from Stanford University.

Alexander Kleinberg, Board of Directors, Singapore Infocomm Development Authority;
Managing Director, Exchange, Asia-Pacific/ Japan, Twitter
Alexander Kleinberg has been in the Board of Directors at Singapore Infocomm Development Authority since 2011. The organization actively supports the growth of innovative technology companies and start-ups in Singapore, by working with leading global IT companies as well as developing excellent information technology and telecommunications infrastructure, policies and capabilities for Singapore. He is in the Budget and Projects Review Committee, as well as the Infocomm Media Masterplan 2025 Committee.

He is also currently the Managing Director, Exchange, Asia-Pacific/ Japan at Twitter, Inc. since Oct 2013. He is responsible for leading a team in charge of Twitter's mobile advertising and programmatic business for the Asia-Pacific/ Japan region, via the acquisition of MoPub in 2013.

Prior to this, he was the Vice President and General Manager, Asia-Pacific/ Japan at MoPub Inc. from May 2013 to Oct 2013. He led a team responsible for all commercial operations for MoPub in the Asia Pacific region, including sales, strategic partnerships, business strategy, and infrastructure and operations. During his employment, he also successfully established a strong MoPub's presence in APAC.

He was previously the Director of Platform Partnerships, Asia-Pacific/ Japan at Facebook, Inc. from Jun 2011 to May 2013. He was responsible for leading a team tasked with increasing the use and engagement of the Facebook platform across international markets through the establishment of partnerships with media firms, technology companies, innovative start-ups and leading brands.

He was formerly the Head of Business Operations, Global Partnerships at Google Inc. from Aug 2009 to May 2011, and was in charge of leading the team overseeing sales operations, business development strategy, and analytics for global strategic partnerships.

Yohwan Koh, Advisor Consultant, SK Hynix
Yohwan Koh has been working for SK Hynix since 1989. He has been the Advisor since Jan 2014. He is responsible for advising SK Hynix regarding semiconductor business. Prior to this, he held various positions at this company. He was the Head of Quality & Reliability Assurance Division from Jan 2010 to Dec 2013. He was the Head of Flash Development Division (Senior VP) from Nov 2007 to Sep 2010. He was the Head of Mobile & Graphic DRAM Development Group (VP) from Mar 2007 to Oct 2007. He was the Head of New Products Development Team at Manufacturing Division from Sep 2005 to Feb 2007. From April 2002 to Aug 2005, he was Vice President at Hynix Semiconductor Manufacturing America Inc.

Edward K. Lee, Head of International Business, VCNC
Edward Lee heads international business at VCNC for leading couple app Between. He currently oversees market development operations in Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Southeast Asia. Prior to VCNC, Edward started and grew the core design and development team for Infobank Corporation’s m&Talk, the first mobile messenger in South Korea. An electrical engineering graduate from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, Edward is also a registered US patent agent.


Scott Meikle, President, Inotera Memories
Dr. Scott Meikle is President of Inotera Memories, Inc. Prior to being appointed as Inotera’s President in September 2012, he served as the Executive Vice President of Inotera since June, 2010. 
Prior to joining Inotera, Scott was Factory Manager in charge of managing Micron’s manufacturing facility in Japan since September 2005, focusing on manufacturing efficiency, organizational development and integration of domestic workforce into a multinational company. From 2002 till 2005, he served as Micron Virginia Pilot Line Manager, leading the start-up and volume ramp of Micron’s first 300mm manufacturing facility. Scott joined Micron in 1991 and was responsible for research and development work, contributing to new materials, processes and IP development for Micron’s semiconductor technology base.

Scott holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Physics from Shizuoka University, a M.S. in Engineering Physics from McMaster University, and a B.Sc. in Physics from University of Calgary.


Greg Sung, Chief Executive Officer & Co-founder of OneSky
Greg Sung founded aNobii, a social networking website for book lovers in 2006. aNobii was initially a side project to scratch Greg's own itch of finding others in town who have read the very same book he's just finished reading. In 2010, aNobii was acquired by HMV and three of the Big Six book publishers in the UK.

Currently, Greg is the co-founder & CEO of Onesky. OneSky makes localization simple to companies that seek to bring their apps to international markets. It has helped over 1,000+ companies with their localization, including Airbnb, Scribd and 500px.


Yi Tang, Director of Global Strategy and Business Development, ET Solar Energy Corp
Yi Tang has been the Director of Global Strategy and Business Development at ET SOLAR ENERGY CORP since Aug 2014. He is responsible for developing semi-ready, ready for construction PV Plants in Asia (including China), Europe and Africa. He was formerly the Business Development Director at Hanergy Global Solar Asia Pacific Limited from Mar 2014 to July 2014, and was responsible for sourcing valuable investment opportunities in the solar energy market and selecting long-term partners in target markets. Prior to this, he was the Business Director of International Market for GCL Energy Holdings Limited from Mar 2010 to Mar 2014. He was responsible for setting and executing an overall strategy for emerging market, aligning strategy execution across GCL's organization and creating collaboration with partners in South Africa, Botswana and Indonesia. He prospects, develops and analyzes investment, EPC and system integration opportunities in solar PV and traditional energy sector in African countries such as South Africa and Botswana. He also initiates and promotes the partnership with local black empowerment and management team on 100MW/y solar panel manufacturing initiative in South Africa. He initiates and coordinates on the equity transaction upon the 2×75MW solar PV projects awarded in South Africa phrase 1 IPP bid and secure the related module/wafer supply agreement and supervision through management committee/Board of Directors during construction period. He develops 3×150MW coal fired power station with coal mine of 2b tones reserve in Botswana and EPC contract negotiation. He also does research and analysis on the solar energy sector: law, policies and regulation, costs, financial analysis, technology survey, evolution of the market. He maintains and expands a quality business network with solar business related companies, investors, organizations and authorities in South Africa. 


Antonio Wang, Research Director, International Data Corporation
Antonio Wang (王吉亮) has been the Research Director and Project Leader of IDC since Apr 2002. He heads the company's China Client System Research, Imaging, Printing & Document Solution Research, and Research Operation Center. The primary focus of his research are consumer desktops, commercial desktops, portable computers, tablets, thin clients, monitors, projectors, smart TV, printers, traditional mobiles, handheld devices, PNDs, personal IT peripherals, and upstream hardware providers. Antonio has been involved with a number of significant research projects, where he has been in charge of project planning, executive proposal drafting, client interviews, and data analysis. He has a vast experience in provincial and city-level PC analysis, and leads the company's China tracker research team for the personal systems field, and conducts research on sales channels, industries, end-user demands, and emerging markets. His team has effectively undertaken numerous customized research projects and gained recognition from clients such as Microsoft, Founder, AMD, Haier, Epson, and Lenovo etc. 

He has been in the market research industry since 2002. He graduated from the Beijing University of Technology with a bachelor's degree in Computing Science.


Donghao Yang, Chief Financial Officer, Vipshop
Donghao Yang has served as chief financial officer of Vipshop since August 2011. Mr. Yang has held senior executive and managerial positions in various public and private companies, including serving as the chief finance officer of Synutra International Inc. (NASDAQ: SYUT) from May 2010 to August 2011, as the chief financial officer of Greater China of Tyson Foods, Inc. (NYSE: TSN) from March 2007 to April 2010, as a finance director of Asia Pacific of Valmont Industries, Inc. (NYSE: VMI) from October 2003 to March 2007, and as a director of China Minmetals Brazil Holding Limited from January 1999 to April 2001. Mr. Yang received an MBA degree from Harvard Business School in 2003 and a bachelor’s degree in international economics from Nankai University in 1993.


David Zhao, Chief Executive Officer & Co-founder, Shangpin
After extensive work experience with Chinese state-owned financial institutes, David Zhao went to the United States in 2000 for further studies. He later worked in several senior management roles in a number of NYSE listed companies including HP and MOVE. David is an expert in internet SNS, B2C platforms and SAAS commercial modelling.

David returned to China in 2005 to establish Vansky Technology with an innovative new e-commerce model to manage credit card members' online shopping services for a number of major Chinese banks on a strategic alliance and retainer service basis.

Equipped with his vast and in-depth e-commerce expertise and keen insight into China's upper-end consumer segment market development, David seized the market opportunity by founding ShangPin. com in 2010 to focus on direct exclusive high-end fashion sales.


Steven Zhu, Chief Investment Officer, Jinneng Clean Energy
Steven Zhu (朱虞) has been Chief Investment Officer at Jinneng Clean Energy Limited Company (晋能清洁能源公司) since Aug 2014. He joined the company to build up its solar business, mainly engaged in global solar farm acquisition and development. 

Prior to this, Steven was VP at GCL (保利协鑫) from Aug 2012 to Jan 2014. The company has 25 subsidiaries and associated co-generation plants and also participates in solid waste incineration power generation, PV power generation, and wind power generation, owing 2 garbage power plant, a wind power, two solar farms, and a rooftop photo-voltaic power plants. In this position, he was in charge of solar farm project investment globally. 

Prior to this, he was the VP of Trina Solar, an NYSE listed company that provides solar modules and solutions from Jan 2009 – Jul 2012. He joined the company in 2005 as the VP of Procurement, and has helped the company grow from a local company with 300 staff in 2005 to a US-listed company with 18000 employees. He was responsible for the company's overseas business including marketing, procurement, financing, investment, and publication. One of the major milestones was that he helped the company grow more than 500 times in revenue, while overcoming the shortage of silicon supply. After 2008, Steven was transferred to the business development department and founded the company's investment and project department, which specializes in solar farm investment. He also founded the Europe office in Milan and US office in San Jose, US. He leads over 100 people in different departments, and his expertise lies in the semiconductor industry. 

Prior to this, Steven founded a Chinese based IT company and worked for IBM in US. He graduated from University of Virginia, and is currently based in China.

S.C. Baeis a Director at Barclays, responsible for Korea technology sector research, based in Seoul. Mr. Bae joined Barclays in September 2011 from Deutsche Bank where he worked for four years. Prior to that, he was at Samsung Securities and Daewoo Securities. In recent Greenwich Associates surveys, his team was ranked No. 2 in Korea Hardware in both 2009 and 2010, and No. 1 and No. 3 in Korea Semiconductors in 2009 and 2010, respectively. Mr. Bae holds an MBA from KEIO University in Japan.

Kent Chanis a Managing Director and Head of Equity Research for Taiwan and China, based in Taipei. He also heads the regional equity research technology team. In January 2012, Mr Chan assumed responsibility for leading the development of the China research franchise within Equity Research, working closely with the regional sector heads and cross-asset colleagues in building the China product offering. Mr. Chan joined Barclays in 2010 from Nomura International, where he was Head of Taiwan Equity Research. Prior to that, he was Deputy Head of Asian Equity Research at Lehman Brothers. Between 1994 and 2007 he worked at Citi Investment Research in a number of roles, including Head of Taiwan Equity Research, Head of Regional Technology Research and Head of Regional Consumer Research, where his teams, both country and sector, were consistently ranked top three in the Institutional Investor, Greenwich, Asiamoney and Extel surveys. Mr. Chan graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Political Economics and a minor in Rhetoric from the University of California, Berkeley.

Blayne Curtisjoined Barclays in April 2011 and is a currently a director and senior research analyst focusing on semiconductor companies. Mr. Curtis has more than fourteen years experience in the technology sector including positions in equity research, industry, and investment banking. Prior to joining Barclays, he covered the semiconductor sector as a vice president at Jefferies and Company. Prior to equity research, he held positions at Maxim Integrated Products, Inc., an analog semiconductor company, as well as in the Technology M&A Group at SG Cowen. Mr. Curtis holds a B.S. in Economics from Vanderbilt University.

Dale Gaiis a Director at Barclays, covering handsets and components in the Asia ex-Japan technology hardware sector research team, based in Taiwan. Mr. Gai joined Barclays in August 2010 from Yuanta Securities in Taiwan where he covered the TFT-LCD sector. Previously, he held a similar position at Citi Investment Research from 2002 to 2008 and was ranked No. 2 in stock picking by StarMine in 2007. During 2008-09 he was an investment analyst covering Asia technology stocks at HDH Capital, a Singapore-based hedge fund. Mr. Gai holds a Bachelor's degree in Management Science from Chiao-Tung University, Taiwan and an MBA from University of California, Berkeley.

Sebastian Houis an Assistant Vice President at Barclays in the Asia ex-Japan Semiconductor research team, based in Taiwan. He also covers some capital goods companies. Mr. Hou joined Barclays in May 2011 from Yuanta Securities FINI Research where he was a research associate in the Upstream Technology and Alternative Energy teams. Prior to that he was an intern at Clairvoyance Capital Advisors for one year. Mr. Hou graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Finance from National Taiwan University, and participated in exchange programmes with Nanyang Business School and Simon Fraser University.

Andrew Luis a Managing Director at Barclays Capital, responsible for Asia ex-Japan semiconductor and TFT-LCD sector research, based in Hong Kong. Mr. Lu joined Barclays Capital in August 2010 from Citi Investment Research where he led the Asia-Pacific semiconductor and TFT-LCD research team for 10 years. Mr. Lu and team received the No. 1 ranking in Institutional Investor’s Asia research survey over the past four years and ranked No. 1 in the Asiamoney survey for the past five years. Mr. Lu graduated with an MBA in Finance from San Diego State University.

Seyon Parkis a Director at Barclays and is responsible for Korea telecoms, Internet & media, and gaming & leisure research, based in Seoul. Mr. Park joined Barclays in March 2012. From 2007 to 2011, he was a senior analyst at Asian Century Quest, a long-short fund based in New York, and prior to that he was an equity research analyst at Morgan Stanley in Seoul. Mr. Park received a Bachelor's degree in mechanical & aerospace engineering from Seoul National University.

Ben A. Reitzesis managing director, Senior IT Hardware & Data Networking Analyst and Global Sector Coordinator of Technology Research at Barclays, having joined the firm in September 2008 from Lehman Brothers. Ben has 20 years of sell side experience including almost 13 years at UBS and PaineWebber in similar analyst roles. Ben has been recognized as a top ranked analyst by Institutional Investor Magazine for 15 straight years in multiple categories including being top three in IT Hardware for 9 straight years and was the No. 1 ranked analyst in Imaging Technology as well for six straight years while under coverage earlier in his career. He has received recognition as a top stock picker in his sectors several times, including acknowledgement in Institutional Investor, Greenwich Associates and Bloomberg magazine – mostly due to his research on Apple. His publications include the bi-annual Global Technology Outlook, the “Data Bits” weekly, as well as his frequent CIO & VAR surveys. Ben earned a B.S. in Economics from Vanderbilt University

Kirk Yangis a Managing Director at Barclays, responsible for regional technology hardware and components research in Asia ex-Japan, based in Hong Kong. Mr. Yang joined Barclays in August 2010 from Nomura International, where he held a similar position. He was ranked #2 (in 2011) and #1 (in 2012) by AsiaMoney, and #2 by Institutional Investor (#1 individually) in 2013. Previously, he worked in a similar role at Citi Investment Research from 2002 to 2008 and was ranked No. 1 by Institutional Investor, Financial Times and Greenwich Associates in 2004, 2006 and 2007, respectively. He has been ranked mostly in the top three during his research career, which includes similar positions held at Credit Suisse and Goldman Sachs. Mr. Yang was CFO for a Hong Kong mainboard-listed technology company (remains a board member) and a China software company (pre-NYSE IPO) from 2008 to 2010. In addition, he has seven years' experience in various roles held with IBM, Accenture, A.T. Kearney, AT&T, Emerson Electric and HP/EDS earlier in his career. Mr. Yang holds a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree from Purdue University, both in Electrical Engineering, and an MBA from The University of Chicago. Mr. Yang is also a well-known author in Taiwan.

Alicia Yapis a Director at Barclays and is responsible for regional internet and media research, based in Hong Kong. Ms. Yap joined Barclays in August 2011 from Citi Investment Research where she worked in a similar role from 2007. Prior to that, Ms. Yap covered internet companies at Bears Stearns in Hong Kong from 2006 to 2007, and was a research analyst covering the information security sector at America's Growth Capital in the US in 2004-06. Ms. Yap received a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Boston Conservatory of Music and an MBA in Finance from Bentley University. She is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
 
Jamie Yehis a Vice President at Barclays, covering the Asia ex-Japan LCD displays sector, including touch panels, based in Taiwan. Miss Yeh joined Barclays in September 2010 from Daiwa Securities where she was a technology analyst covering small caps. Prior to that she was a research associate in Citi Investment Research's Asia-Pacific semiconductor team for two and half years. Miss Yeh graduated with an MBA from Haas School of Management at the University of California at Berkeley.
