2014 ACS State Conference - Cloned for testing - use that

Following David Hunts sold out workshop in 2013 – we are pleased to be able to offer another opportunity to experience David’s unique workshop – the power of storytelling.

f you work with older people as an activities officer, care worker, case manager or service coordinator – in residential aged care, in the community or in centre based services - this workshop will provide you with the skills and tools you need to connect in a meaningful way.

Building trust and rapport needs a special set of skills. David will demonstrate the power of story and storytelling as a critical tool for individuals to better understand each other. These skills are able to be used with residents/ consumers, colleagues and stakeholders.

This highly interactive workshop is designed to teach participants to:
  • employ the power of story and storytelling
  • encourage resident/ consumers to talk about their hopes, fears, dreams, and
  • empower residents/ consumers in their decision making about their needs and goals in relation to care and support.

Learn the art of using story and ‘storytelling’ as a tool to enable and empower
