Billboard charting artist Chelsey Green re-identifies the violin.  A native of  Houston, TX, Green is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of  Maryland College Park and has performed worldwide at Carnegie  Hall, Saint Lucia Jazz Festival, Essence Music Festival, and more!  Her ensemble, The  Green Project,  recently released their second CD, The Green Project, which  debuted on Billboard at 22!

The Power to Lead Summit, July 26 (Separate Registration)
The Power to Lead Summit is meant to inspire, engage, and help leaders develop the skills needed to meet the demands of impactful leadership and effectively lead organizations for success.  Each session will help leaders at all levels of business be more successful in fulfilling their leadership expectations and tackling the tough challenges in the competitive business world. Registration includes a continental breakfast and lunch.

Marion Stubbs Thomas Leadership Academy, July 26 (By Invitation Only)
The purpose of the Leadership Academy is to provide training geared towards building knowledge, skills, and proficiencies to reach the full potential of future leaders in Jack and Jill of America, Inc.  This initiative is designed to encourage, promote, and continue organizational excellence.

JMB Youth Leadership Summit: The Power to Succeed, July 26 (By Invitation Only)
For teens who have successfully completed the prerequisite teen leadership development and financial literacy modules.  Bring Your A Game.  This year's Teen Leadership Summit will be an interactive, high energy, game themed day filled with leadership activities, motivational speakers, STEM related game challenges, and more. In addition, it will allow the opportunity to make friends and lasting connections with other teens from around the country.

Remarks from the CEO of the PGA of America and CEO of the World Golf Foundation.  PGA Tour Golfers on the PGA Tour Advocates Tour will be present.  Under Armour to contribute golf apparel.

A Conversation With Emmy Lu, July 28
Emmy Lu is a renowned artist whose work has been internationally featured in many magazines, newspapers and has also been exhibited in reputable galleries and museums.  His masterpieces find solace in major corporations such as Sony Records, Warner Brothers, Motown Records, and many others  His creative excesses include having his work hanging in exclusive homes of the famous such as Magic Johnson, Prince Charles, Oprah Winfrey, Denzel Washington, Elton John, and Paul Mcartney. Join the discussion on myths and facts about art history and have an opportunity to bid on his exceptional art.  Proceeds will be donated to Jack and Jill of America Foundation.

Join us in a vibrant CELEBRATION honoring ourlegacy of stellar programming--a constellation of impactful events and activities that demonstrate the development of our children and communities.  You don't want to miss the festive recognition as we roll out the red carpet for our Best of the Best programming celebrities. Don't forget your sun glasses or you will be blinded by the brilliance!  Nina Foxx, award-winning filmmaker, playwright, novelist and 2015 NAACP Image Award-Outstanding Fiction Nominee is the guest speaker.

Leadership & Legislative Luncheon, July 29
Building tomorrow's leaders and targeted legislative advocacy is the framework of the goals and objectives of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Awards will be given to chapters who have demonstrated exemplary legislative outreach and community service.  Sonia Jackson Myles, Founder of the Sister Accord Movement and Author of "The Sister Accord: 51 Ways to LOVE Your Sister" will share her inspirational story and the 3  areas of focus of her foundation--Educating girls and women, Enlightening  girls and women of the Power of Sisterhood and Eradicating bullying and  violence against girls and women.

Election Party, July 29 
Celebrate our new officers and jam at an Election Party. 

Author's Pavilion, July 30
Share our National President's passion for literacy and meet the African-American authors of the Bedtime Stories Series. Mothers and children will be able to interact with the authors and have their books signed. Members are asked to support the initiative to revitalize a local library by purchasing a book for donation. During the Author's Pavilion, the winners of the Literary Masterminds Contest as well the anthology will be revealed.

Teen Forum, July 30
David J. Johns is the executive director of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African Americans. The Initiative works across federal agencies and with partners and communities nationwide to produce a more effective continuum of education programs for African American students.  Prior to joining the Department, Johns was a senior education policy advisor to the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP). Before working for the Senate HELP committee, Johns served under the leadership of the late Sen. Ted Kennedy, D-Mass. Johns also was a Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Fellow in the office of Congressman Charles Rangel, D-N.Y. Johns has worked on issues affecting low-income and minority students, neglected youth and early childhood education and with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). His research as an Andrew W. Mellon Fellow served as a catalyst to identify, disrupt and supplant negative perceptions of black males within academia and society. Johns is committed to volunteer services and maintains an active commitment to improve literacy among adolescent minority males.
