Bio

Gabi Zedlmayer was appointed as Vice President of HP’s Office of Global Social Innovation in October 2009 and is responsible for driving social innovation programs that are aligned with HP’s business strategy. Gabi is responsible for a team of experts around the globe who aim to make a contribution to solving societal issues by enabling and accelerating the creation of social innovations in the areas of education, healthcare and community engagement. In addition, she is also in charge of HP’s overall Global Citizenship strategy.

From 2005 to 2009 Gabi was Vice President, Corporate Marketing for HP Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). In this role she was responsible for driving a comprehensive global marketing strategy for HP in the region. She lead EMEA branding efforts and drove all marketing initiatives including corporate communications, internal communications, brand & digital strategy and advertising as well as Global Citizenship.

Prior to that, Gabi was Head of Corporate Affairs EMEA focusing on HP's global citizenship strategy and business alignment in the region. The role included corporate, social and environmental responsibility, government and public affairs and corporate philanthropy.
Before this role, Gabi held the position of Vice President ESG Marketing Services, Corporate Marketing and CRM, HP EMEA. In that role she led Corporate Marketing and Marketing Services for the Enterprise Systems Group as well as the Customer Relationship Management team.
 
Since joining the company in 1987, Gabi also held the position of General Manager, Enterprise Systems Group, Marketing and Solutions for HP EMEA, as well as Vice President, Marketing Communications and Market Research for Compaq EMEA. Prior to this she was responsible for business development, strategy, and research for Compaq EMEA.

Gabi obtained a BA in Business from Georgia State University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Miami. During her academic career, she was assistant chair in numerous departments at the University of Miami including Finance and Operations Management and she wrote a wide range of papers and publications on Investments and Financial Management.
