Ms. Deborah Albers
Principal Social Strategist, Corporate Responsibility
Dell
Deborah Albers is Dell’s Principal Social Strategist. In this role, she is responsible for defining and integrating a scalable Social Responsibility Program globally.

Deborah's role includes oversight of Conflict Minerals, Child Labor Avoidance, Human Rights, responsible sourcing and stakeholder engagement. Ms. Albers is also the chair of Dell’s Sustainability Compliance Council; Director of Special Projects on the EICC Board of Directors; and is responsible for reporting on Dell’s progress and challenges on social issues In the annual sustainability report and in our social media channels. Deborah launched the Green Team at the corporate offices in Round Rock Texas and continues to be the Executive Sponsor.

Prior to joining Dell in 1999, Deborah managed operations at RSVP, a start-up company in Silicon Valley.

Deborah has her undergraduate degree in Natural Health and is pursuing her Doctorate in Naturopathy from Clayton College of Natural Health.
 
Mr. Michel Benard
Director, Open Innovation Office in HP Laboratories

Michel Benard is Director of the Open Innovation Office in HP Laboratories. His team is responsible for developing HP labs research partnerships with universities, governments and companies worldwide.

Michel graduated and received his PhD in Digital Image Processing from the Telecom Paris in 1983 and held R&D positions at IBM and was Assistant Professor at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology. In 1987 he joined the sales force of Apollo Computer in Switzerland and became Sales Manager for western Switzerland in 1988.

Michel joined HP from Apollo Computer in 1989. He was HP Major Account Manager for High-Energy-Physics in Europe from 1990 to 1996, taking care of 70 European customers with a sales team. Then he joined HP EMEA Alliance and Corporate Development in 1997 where he managed technology partnerships with key commercial and public sector customers and worked on strategic programs in Computer Systems, Networking and Digital Photography.

In 2000 Michel graduated from the Swiss Banking Institute in Geneva and in 2001 joined AXA Technology, Inc., a start-up in Imaging Software, as GM for Europe.

Back to HP in 2002, Michel joined joined HP University Relations. He developed global partnership programs in Grid Computing, in Data Management and in Digital Publishing. Michel also launched and developed strategic investments of HP University Relations in Russia, China, India and Singapore. Large joint partnerships between HP and Unesco were also launched.

In 2005 Michel became Director of Technology Programs for HP University Relations (which became Open Innovation Office in 2008) and since then has been managing a global team responsible for bringing external R&D, external funding and top talent to HP Laboratories.
 
Mr. Dominique Cerutti

Dominique Cerutti serves as NYSE Euronext's Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Global Head of Technology. He also serves as President of Euronext Paris and Chairman of the Managing Board of Euronext NV.

Mr. Cerutti, a French national who previously served as General Manager of IBM Southwest Europe, reports directly to Duncan L. Niederauer, Chief Executive Officer, NYSE Euronext. Based in Paris, Mr. Cerutti is part of NYSE Euronext’s Management Committee where he oversees global technology/IT and has responsibility for business operations, customer relations and competitive position in Europe. Mr. Cerutti joins the leadership team in forming and executing NYSE Euronext’s strategic plan, seeking new business growth and revenue generating opportunities including acquisitions and strategic partnerships, and developing new products and services.
 
Ms. Katrina Destrée Cochran
Director of CSR Operations
Alcatel-Lucent
Katrina is responsible for communicating the value of Alcatel-Lucent’s CSR and sustainability programs internally with emphasis on operations and business strategy. In addition, Katrina raises the Company’s profile externally, by communicating its contributions to the ICT industry’s efforts to enable other sectors to reduce their carbon footprint.

Previously, Katrina was the Executive Director of GeSI, the Global e-Sustainability Initiative, a non-profit trade association of leading ICT companies, including Alcatel-Lucent. At GeSI, she was responsible for managing GeSI's communications activities, press inquiries and working group activities (supply chain, climate change, e-waste and the EU ICT Policy Forum, and EU funded research projects on smart grids and transportation initiatives).

Katrina holds a Master of Arts degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from California Polytechnic State University. She is a published author on Corporate Social Responsibility issues (electronics recycling, climate change negotiations and e-skills), a member of the communications committee at American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) Belgium.
 
Mr. Xavier Delacroix

Xavier Delacroix created the consultancy First&42nd in July of 2002 as a subsidiary of the American company, Edelman. First&42nd is an office specialized in consulting businesses on ethics, corporate social responsibility, and governance. The office’s mission is to analyze the internal and external expectations of various stakeholders and to help companies understand these perceptions in a concrete and operational manner.

Xavier Delacroix had joined Edelman Worldwide in 1996 as Managing Director of the Edelman France agency and European Director of the Issues and Crisis Management sector. Before joining Edelman, he was Director of Public Affairs at Burson-Marsteller/Paris. He had previously been a journalist for the BBC in London; he then worked in the written press for such publications as Libération, Le Monde Diplomatique and L’Express, all in collaboration with several French publishing houses..

Xavier Delacroix is the president and founder of the French Association of Consulting in Public Affairs (AFCAP). He is the author of a book entitled “La Grande Peur des Patrons (published in November 2003 by Editions le Félin), in which he draws lessons from his own consulting experience. He coordinated the writing and editing for the publications “ONG – Entreprises : du duel au duo?” and “Influencer la démocratie, Démocratiser l’influence”. He also took part in writing the collaborative work “Les entreprises face aux enjeux du développement durable” (Editions Karthala). A graduate of l’Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris, Xavier Delacroix also holds a degree in law, a master’s degree in history and a postgraduate degree in political science. He earned his Master of Science (Msc) in international relations from the London School of Economics. He is also a graduate of INSEAD.

James Farrar has more than 15 years experience working on corporate sustainability matters in the US and Europe in the banking, aviation, NGO and technology sector. As VP Sustainability at SAP his role encompasses review of SAP's sustainable operations, solutions portfolio and go to market strategy. In 2009 he was listed in the Ethisphere 100 Most Influential in Business Ethics and serves on the board of the sustainability assurance standard AA1000. Dr. Valérie Gauthier
Associate Professor and Associate Dean
HEC MBA Program
Educated in France and the United States, Valérie Gauthier pursued graduate-level research in individual learning processes and the development of cross-cultural relationships. Her academic background in psychology and literature established a solid foundation for her future work in management education.

Dr. Gauthier was elected Associate Dean of the HEC MBA program in 2002 (re-elected in 2006), and she has since re-designed the MBA curriculum, with a view toward future societal and educational shifts. Under her mandates, the program has undergone a fundamental transformation that has placed the concept of "savoir-relier,"™ or making connections, at the very core of its participants' personal and professional development.

In order to place the HEC MBA at the forefront of innovative management education, Dr. Gauthier has instituted several pioneering initiatives. Her vision of leadership encompasses a global perspective on women in business.
 
Rick Goss
Vice President of Environment and Sustainability
Information Technology Industry Council
Rick Goss is Vice President for Environment and Sustainability at the Information Technology Industry Council (ITI). He is also responsible for managing ITI's Environmental Leadership Council, which promotes industry positions on electronics recycling, materials content and design, and green procurement. Rick represents the industry before elected officials, regulators and the media, and has testified on behalf of high-tech manufacturers before Congress and in several states. He is also involved in international regulatory issues on environment, energy and sustainability, and participates in several federal and state planning teams and task forces on environmental priorities.

Prior to joining ITI, Rick worked for three years for the Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA), where he served as EIA's Vice President of Environmental Affairs.

Rick previously worked for a D.C.-based environmental consulting firm that specialized in risk communications issues for major corporate clients. As Senior Project Manager, he supervised projects for several Fortune 50 companies involved in Superfund, RCRA Corrective Action and brownfields.

Prior to moving to the D.C. area, Rick spent nine years in Albany, New York, as the Legislative Director for a New York State Assemblyman.

Rick holds an M.S. in Environmental Management and Policy from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Rochester.

Jan Guetter is Director of Corporate Communications Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Jan is responsible for AMD’s overall communications strategy across all end user segments. His assignment includes Public Relations, Industry Analyst relations, Public Affairs and Internal Communications as well as all Integrated Marketing disciplines among them advertising and AMD’s online and web strategy in EMEA..

With more than 18 years of experience in marketing and communications and a background as a journalist, Jan joined AMD in 2000 as Public Relations Manager for Central Europe. During his tenure at AMD he held several positions in Public Relations, Analyst Relations and Government Affairs prior to his current assignment..

Before joining AMD Jan Guetter worked as a publisher and journalist at Dresdner Neueste Nachrichten, a daily newspaper based in Dresden, Germany. He holds a diploma in marketing communications.
 
Prof. Dr. Martin Hill

Martin is Executive Vice President for Premier Customer Network and Councils within the sustainability group at TechniData AG, an SAP company. In this role, Martin brings together needs with SAP capabilities for SAP’s strategy & solutions to address customer’s sustainability needs for SAP’s TOP 100 customers in Europe. Previously he was EVP Global Marketing and Communications and was Managing Director of TechniData BCS GmbH, a 100-percent affiliate of TechniData AG. Martin has been with TechniData since 2001.

Previously, Martin has worked more than nine years as Managing Partner at GWU mbH, headquartered in Siegen. He also previously worked Assistant professor at Faculty V – Economics at University Siegen, Germany. In addition, he is also professor at University Siegen, Germany, since 2008.

Martin has a doctor in Economics from University Siegen, Germany.

Mark Newton is responsible for Dell's corporate Sustainability team and programs, balancing Dell's growth strategy to minimize impacts on natural and human resources. In this role he directs global policy development, stakeholder engagements and corporate strategies on environmental and social issues. Prior to joining Dell, Mark led environmental technology programs at Apple and Motorola and was a principal scientist for DEKA Research and Development Corp.

He holds a Doctorate in Chemistry from the University of Texas at Dallas.

He succeeds Serge Harry, the veteran NYSE Euronext exchange expert, who has steered BlueNext from its birth to its establishment as a global brand.

Mr. Saint-Macary hails from Société Générale where for 16 years, he was Global Head of Commodities Trading within the Corporate and Investment Banking Division. During this time Mr. Saint-Macary contributed actively to the creation of two joint-ventures: Orbeo, the innovative carbon market company, collaborating with Rhodia, the specialty chemical group, and Gaselys, the energy trading company with GDF Suez.

Tom is the Head of Marketing and Business Development at Sedex. He feels passionate about how real improvements can be made in working conditions across the world by empowering suppliers with the tools to share their information in an easy and cost effective manner.

Prior to Sedex Tom worked at Canning House, a Latin American think tank based in London. He worked in partnership with Al-Invest, an EU funded economic co-operation programme that aims to support the internationalisation of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Latin America in order to reinforce social cohesion in the region.

Tom holds a BA in Politics from the University of York (UK) specialising in theories of inequality and the role of religion in Middle Eastern politics.
 
Mr. Bouwe Taverne

Bouwe Taverne (1950) is director sustainable development, Rabobank Group The Netherlands. He is heading a group of 10+ staff who direct, implement and monitor CSR and report on it. The membership of UNEP-FI is one of his personal accounts.

Taverne studied analytical chemistry and social sciences. Before Rabobank, he did environmental research on carbon and heavy metals in water and underwater soils. For 15+ years, he contributed to the development of environmental education in The Netherlands.

 
Mr. Manlio Valdes

Manlio Valdes began his career with Ingersoll Rand in 1988 as a product specialist in the Air Solutions group, and over the following 22 years held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility and key leadership roles.

Within Air Solutions, he served as the director of Latin America operations, business unit manager for the European-Served Area (ESA) aftermarket and as president of the region and global business.

In 2007, Manlio was named vice president of global product management for the Industrial Technologies Sector where he established and drove innovation processes and managed the product growth strategy.

He was named president of the Europe, Middle East, India, Africa Region for Climate Solutions in July 2010. He is located in Brussels, Belgium.

He holds a bachelors of science degree from Duke University and an MBA from Florida International University.

Mr. Atilla Yerlikaya

Atilla Yerlikaya is the Head of Coca-Cola Icecek's Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability teams. CCI became the most Accountable company in Turkey and published the first GRI approved Social Responsibility Report in Turkey, Central Asia and Middle East Region. Starting his career as a journalist, Atilla launched the Turkish editions of international magazines including National Geographic, Officiel de la Mode, Car and F1 Racing. Prior to Coca-Cola İcecek, he held senior management roles for major bluechip companies including Philip Morris and Shell.

Atilla has more than 15 years of experience in media, public policy, civil society dialogue and sustainability.

He is serving on the boards of Foreign Direct Investment Association of Turkey and was the Istanbul Chapter President of the European Movement. He holds a degree in Economics from Bogazici University in Istanbul, Turkey.

 
Ms. Gabriele Zedlmayer
Vice President, Global Social Innovation

Gabi Zedlmayer was appointed as Vice President of HP’s Office of Global Social Innovation in October 2009 and is responsible for driving social innovation programs that are aligned with HP’s business strategy. Gabi is responsible for a team of experts around the globe who aim to make a contribution to solving societal issues by enabling and accelerating the creation of social innovations in the areas of education, healthcare and community engagement. In addition, she is also in charge of HP’s overall Global Citizenship strategy.

From 2005 to 2009 Gabi was Vice President, Corporate Marketing for HP Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). In this role she was responsible for driving a comprehensive global marketing strategy for HP in the region. She lead EMEA branding efforts and drove all marketing initiatives including corporate communications, internal communications, brand & digital strategy and advertising as well as Global Citizenship.

Prior to that, Gabi was Head of Corporate Affairs EMEA focusing on HP's global citizenship strategy and business alignment in the region. The role included corporate, social and environmental responsibility, government and public affairs and corporate philanthropy.
Before this role, Gabi held the position of Vice President ESG Marketing Services, Corporate Marketing and CRM, HP EMEA. In that role she led Corporate Marketing and Marketing Services for the Enterprise Systems Group as well as the Customer Relationship Management team.
 
Since joining the company in 1987, Gabi also held the position of General Manager, Enterprise Systems Group, Marketing and Solutions for HP EMEA, as well as Vice President, Marketing Communications and Market Research for Compaq EMEA. Prior to this she was responsible for business development, strategy, and research for Compaq EMEA.

Gabi obtained a BA in Business from Georgia State University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Miami. During her academic career, she was assistant chair in numerous departments at the University of Miami including Finance and Operations Management and she wrote a wide range of papers and publications on Investments and Financial Management.
