Cindy Viau works at the Help and Information Center on Sexual Harassment in the Workplace (GAIHST). The first objective of GAIHST is to break the silence surrounding this form of abuse of power and discrimination. Ms Viau’s 14 years of experience at the center and her studies in management of human resources has allowed her to become a specialist in training sessions offered by the center for the private sector. Training provides employers with a clear message of what does and does not constitute sexual harassment in the workplace, guides them in what an efficient policy should and should not include and helps them figure out how to investigate a sexual harassment case before the intervention of the law is necessary. Ms Viau also represents GAIHST as a spokesperson in conferences, in front of media and collaborates on special projects put forward by the organization.
