Here are some frequently asked questions to help answer any questions you may have.

1. What is included in my invitation?
  • Three nights accommodation including breakfast at Elements of Byron
  • Day sessions, activities and social functions for the duration of the conference
  • Flight credit for you to make your own travel arrangements
2. What are the hotel details?

3. What are the accommodation arrangements?
Elements of Byron have two types of villas available:
  • Single villa suitable for one person or couples. This includes a king bed with ensuite and a small living area.
  • Double villa suitable for two people (not a couple). This includes two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a small shared living area.

You will be asked during registration your rooming preference and we will aim to meet the majority of requests.

4. Can I book extra accommodation at Elements of Byron?
You are more than welcome to extend your stay at Elements of Byron. If you would like to arrive earlier or depart later then the conference days, please indicate your preference during registration as early as possible in order to secure your booking.

Please note, any extensions will be payable by the delegate. To arrange extending accommodation at Elements of Byron, you'll need to contact the venue directly.

5. How do I pay for additional accommodation charges?
Credit card details will be taken at the time of registration. Delegates will be provided with a pre-authorisation credit card form to complete to speed up the check in process. The nominated credit card will cover in-room incidentals and additional nights accommodation (if elected).
6. What are the check in and check out times at Element of Byron?
Check in - 3:00pm
Check out - 11:00am
7. Is my partner allowed to travel with me?
Non conference delegate partners and children are not permitted to the conference sessions or event activities at the 2018 FAST Business Excellence Conference.

Additional charges to hotel rooms will be applied for more than one person and are at the individuals expense.

8. I have qualified for 2 tickets. How do I register the other person?
Each person who is attending the conference in Byron Bay must register individually. Simply forward the link to the registration site to the other attendee where they can register.
9. What are the dress codes?
The overall dress code for the conference is smart casual with no ripped jeans/thongs for the duration of the conference.

Dress shorts are permitted throughout the duration of the conference except the gala night. Casual shorts are permitted for the welcome night and optional activities as these events are largely outside.

The gala night dress code is lounge suit for the men and cocktail for the ladies.

10. Do I have to participate in all the activities?
It is expected that you will attend all events as part of the conference. On day 3 of the trip (Thursday 16th August) you may select free time if no activities are of interest.
11. What do I do if I have a special dietary requirement?
All catering venues will be advised of any special dietary requirements as indicated on your registration form. Please identify yourself to venue staff as they come to serve you and they will be pleased to provide you with all pre-ordered food. For day catering, there may be a specific area where specially requested food is brought out, please check with catering or event staff.
12. Do I need to organise travel insurance?
All brokers and sponsors invited to the event are required to obtain their own travel insurance. There are a number of providers who can assist you with this, or you may wish to contact Amercian Express Global Travel for information on packages on 1300 637 645.

FAST staff are not required to obtain travel insurance.
