The California Board of Registered Nurses has determined that Category 1 CME Credit may be used as equivalent CE credit. Certificate of attendance will be available on the TPMG Physician Education & Development calendar website for printing or e-mailing (pdf) within 30 days of the activity date. It will be up to individual attendees to report applicable hours of attendance to their respective boards.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

-Offer patients different options/ways to treat obesity and refer patients appropriately to bariatric surgery, medical weight management, wellness coaching, and/or mental health services.

-Effectively communicate lifestyle changes to help patients achieve optimal health.

-Use KP tools and resources to address obesity and other chronic health conditions through nutrition and lifestyle modification.

-Recognize the relationship between adverse childhood experiences and adult well being. Appropriately ask and listen to patients about adverse childhood experiences.
