How do I register to participate in the workshop?
Simply access the "New Registration" button on any page of the website. Click on the icon and it will direct you through the registration process.

Please feel free to bring your ADVANCE team members.
How can I pay for the registration fee?
You can only pay with check or credit card when submitting the registration fee of $150.00. If you are a sponsored speaker, you will receive an email with a discount code. Please contact Lisa Berg at 703.894.4495 if you have any problems with the discount code during registration checkout.
How do I register for the poster session/abstract?
If I can't attend, can I send someone in my place?
Yes, if your ADVANCE grant covers the cost of registration and travel.
What is the closest airport to the hotel?
The closest airport is Reagan National Airport (DCA). Other options can be found on the "Lodging/Travel" tab of the registration website.
Is there a free shuttle service to the hotel?
No, we suggest you take the metro from Reagan National Airport. The Westin Hotel Alexandria is two stops away on the Metrorail located three blocks from King Street Metrorail Station. Exit the Metrorail to the ground level and take a right on Diagonal Road. Take the Duke Street pedestrian tunnel, towards Dulaney Street. Turn right onto Jamieson Avenue. Take a left onto Courthouse Square. The hotel will be on your left.
There is also a free shuttle service from the King Street Metrorail station to the hotel. You can contact the hotel shuttle at 703.253.8600.
What time is check-in/check-out at the hotel?
Check-in begins at 3:00 pm and check-out is by 12:00 pm.
What is the cost of parking at the hotel?
Hotel parking costs $10 per day and $24 per night.
Is there Wi-Fi in the hotel?
Yes, there will be free Wi-Fi included in your hotel room and in the meeting room areas/hallways.
Will childcare be provided during the workshop?
Contact Lisa Berg for a list of available childcare options in the area. Please note: You may not use NSF funds to pay for dependent care.

How do I register for the poster session/abstract?
Click on the "Call for Abstracts" button on the right panel. You can also access the "Abstracts" tab to find more information. The deadline is December 15, 2012. There will be no exceptions.
Who should attend the New IT Orientation held on Sunday, March 3rd?
Only PIs and team members awarded a 2012 Institutional Transformation (IT) Grant should attend the Sunday orientation session. The fee for the orientation is $25 additional to the registration fee of $150.
Can my registration fee be refunded if I decide to not attend the workshop after registering?
In the event you cannot attend the workshop the final date to be fully refunded for the registration fee and the hotel reservation is February 28, 2013. If I can't attend, can I send someone in my place?
