With more than two decades of direct experience in healthcare fundraising in Canada, Michelle's background includes a concentration in marketing and communications, annual giving, board development, strategic planning, and donor stewardship. A Fellow of the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy in North America, Michelle developed the first educational programme for fundraising at the University of Western Ontario and later launched the first postgraduate programme in philanthropy in southwestern Ontario. She is a recipient of a number of peer-reviewed awards in fundraising strategy, and serves frequently as a presenter at national and international conferences in North America. She has served on the MDU Faculty since 2001.

Doug has been actively involved in the management of nonprofit institutions for over 20 years. This includes a variety of institutions of all sizes: medical centres, hospitals, universities, colleges, YMCA’s as well as a number of social service agencies. His contributions include preliminary campaign design and direction, major gift programmes, strategic planning and management. Doug has personally directed, and with his new appointment, continues to provide oversight to fundraising programmes throughout the state of Colorado. Doug has served as Associate Dean at the AHP’s Madison Institute in the Capital Campaign track for the past decade. Additionally, he is a regular presenter at district and international fundraising conferences. His strength is in motivating and challenging both staff and volunteers. Doug has been a track chair for MDU since 2006.

Michael is one of Canada’s foremost fundraising professionals. Prior to forming Philanthropy Coach & Counsel he had more than 25 years of experience working in progressively larger not-for profit organizations. In 2006, as President and CEO of the Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation, he oversaw the successful “Cornerstone of Care” $100 million capital campaign. The Philanthropy Coach & Counsel difference is the ability to demystify the fundraising process. Michael is one of only 15 people in Canada to have earned the Fellows designation of the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy (FAHP), and is a sought after speaker and master of ceremonies. He is a Distinguished Alumni of Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario, and was further honoured at Mohawk College’s 40th Anniversary, being named one of Mohawk's "Top 40 in 40 Years.” In 2007, Michael became the first person ever to be named the “Fundraising Professional of the Year” by the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy Canada. Michael was the founding Dean of the Capital Campaign track at the Association for Health Care Philanthropy Fundraising Institute run in conjunction with the University of Wisconsin at Madison.

Previously Tracey has worked with Diabetes SA, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Research Foundation, Royal District Nursing Service, St Vincent de Paul Society and Time for Kids. Tracey has been a member of FIA since 2002 and was FIA South Australia State President and member of the FIA Board. A senior development officer in higher education and healthcare for more than 25 years, Ian began his career in fundraising as the first Director of Development (and later Vice-President) at Kingston General Hospital where he served from 1983 through 1995, when he then accepted the role of Director of Development at Queen’s University. To date, Ian has helped organisations in healthcare, education and the arts raise more than $250 million in private gift support. He currently serves as a consultant in gift planning and as the Director, Philanthropic Advisory Services for the Gift Funds Canada, the leading independent charitable foundation in Canada specialising in philanthropic solutions for high net worth (HNW) donors. A respected faculty member of the annual AHP Fund-Raising Institute at the University of Wisconsin, Madison for many years, Ian served as its first Canadian Executive Director for two years (1995-1996). Maurice is the Director of Henderson Partners Fundraising Consultants, a specialist fundraising consultancy operating in South Australia. Prior to starting his own consultancy, he was the Executive Director of The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Research Foundation for sixteen years where he took the organisation from a two-person operation to one of the most successful fundraising institutions in South Australia. Before that he worked for The Wheelchair Sports Association and The Australian Red Cross Society. As well as being a member of the Madison Down Under Faculty since 1999, he has been a member of the Faculty of the Madison Institute at the University of Wisconsin since 1999. Lesley has held this position for eight years and together with her team, each year they raise millions of dollars to support the numerous areas of Mater’s seven hospitals and research institute. Lesley holds the designation of Certified Fundraising Executive from CFRE International and is a graduate of the Australian Centre for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies (ACPNS) at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). With Vision Australia, Ralph developed a programme that led to over 300 confirmed bequests and bequest income growth from an average of $100,000 to between $1-$2 million per annum, within 5 years. During a 19 year fundraising career, Trish has developed programs across all aspects of the fundraising mix, and won the FIA’s Award for most Outstanding Fundraising Project for 2010 along with Capital Campaign of the Year. This achievement was the result of a $14.8 million Capital Campaign for a new Cancer Centre at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne. She has worked across many organisations, large and small, ranging from health, children, animals and the arts. Trish has been a practitioner in all facets of fundraising, starting her career in bequests, and was the Bequest Manager for the National Heart Foundation of Australia where she developed an Estates Administration policy and procedure guide for all States. She managed the Bequest Special Interest Group in Melbourne for many years. She has presented at National Conference in Melbourne 2004 and 2011, Adelaide 2010, was a presenter for FIA Skills 1 for several years on bequests, and presented at the Melbourne State Conference in 2009.

Margaret has spoken of her experience in fundraising and marketing to audiences in various States of Australia as well as internationally.
