Chicago is served by two major airports:

  • O'Hare Airport, which is a major hub for American and United airlines and is served by many other airlines; and
  • Midway Airport, which is a major hub for Southwest Airlines and is served by other airlines with a less extensive schedule than O'Hare
Generally, O'Hare's air traffic delays and road congestition to/from downtown Chicago make Midway a better choice, assuming you can find a flight itinerary that meets your needs.  Both airports are served by taxis, all car rental firms, shuttles, and public transportation.  Listed below are suggested means of transportation to and from the Swissotel. 

How do I get from the airport to the hotel?

Shuttle - Airport Express: www.airportexpress.com. 1-800-654-7871.  Reservations need to be made at least 24 hours in advance for the return trip to the airport.  Credit cards are taken over the phone and on the website; however drivers can only accept cash.

Taxi Service:

From O'Hare Airport:

Taking a taxi to or from O'Hare varies, depending on travel time, from $35-$55.  During rush hour, the trip can take about an hour.  During mid-day and evenings, it takes around 30 minutes.

From Midway Airport:

Taking a taxi to or from Midway varies, depending on travel time, from $25-$45.  During rush hour, the trip can take about 45 minutes to 1 hour.  During the mid-day and evenings, it takes around 20-30 minutes.

Yes, valet parking is available at the hotel with unlimited in and out service for $65 per 24 hour period.
