Overview
The Responsible Business Award celebrates
firms that are leading the way in their contribution

society, their consideration of the environment, and the strength of their
corporate
governance,
while assuring the sustainability of their business. This prize, which will be
awarded
to one corporate and one SME, also encompasses responsible selling and
marketing,
and
the firm’s reputation for employee satisfaction and creating a
balanced workplace.
Scoring &
Criteria
One large company and one SME will be chosen based on their
success in creating social and environmental value, their corporate governance
record, and
the
firm’s workplace culture and employee satisfaction.

Please note –
SME entries:
To enter as an
SME, the enterprise must meet the following criteria, as defined by the Ministry
of
Economic Affairs. The enterprise must:
- Have completed company registration or business registration in accordance with the requirements of the laws.
AND
- Be an enterprise in the manufacturing, construction, mining or quarrying industry with paid- in capital of NT$80 million or less. The number of regular employees must be less than 200.
OR
- Be an enterprise in any industry other than manufacturing, construction, mining or quarrying, with a sales revenue of NT$100 million or less in the previous year. The number of regular employees must be less than 100.
