National Open Day

On 20 June 2014 Aged care Providers around Australia will throw open their doors to their local communities in the first Aged and Community services (ACSA) “National Open Day”.

The day is intended as a celebration of aged care services and will promote the positive experiences of our older Australians. It is a day to share with our international colleagues who care for older people as they celebrate their own Open Days. National Open Home days will be promoted and held on the same date in the UK, South Africa, Malta and many other countries.

This is the first of what we hope will be an annual event, Australia-wide. Aged care providers and organisations may wish to brand an already planned event, such as a fete or morning tea so that we start small and bring people along with us.

ACSA’s goal is to make it easy for providers to showcase their consumers and their great services.
We are here to help providers have a positive experience. By linking into the National, and International, day we can grow this into a very useful showcase of what is good in services for older Australians.
