His trading career began with Timber Hill, making markets in equities and index options on the floor of the American Stock Exchange. Through a JBO with Spear, Leeds & Kellogg, he became a partner in El Lobo Trading Group. He continued options trading on the floor through 2004 when he joined Shoreline Trading Group in New York, where he was head of business development and prime brokerage sales. Lance left Shoreline in 2007 and was one of the founding partners of Saratoga Prime Services. In 2009, Lance Baraker was hired to build from scratch TradeStation Prime Services based in NY. He started in the business at Goldman Sachs where he was a cash sales trader, then managed parts of the convertibles arbitrage business and ultimately ran a volatility desk. Mr. Langbert then joined Morgan Stanley as a Managing Director where he co-managed Sales Trading for the Americas and was responsible for Merger Arbitrage and Capital Structure Arbitrage. While at Morgan Stanley, Mr. Langbert also built and co-headed a joint venture for cross selling between equities and credit investors. He also segmented the entire institutional distribution business while at Morgan Stanley. Mr. Langbert then joined UBS where he was a Managing Director and was Head of Prime Brokerage Sales for the Americas. On this platform, he was responsible for origination and distribution of a platform that oversaw prime brokerage of 750 institutional accounts across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Latin America and South America. Mr. Langbert graduated from Colgate University with Honors in Political Science. He has served on the Alumni Council of Colgate and was his Class Gift Chair for 16 years. Mr. Langbert also serves on the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County and is an executive committee member of the Front Nine Club at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens.
