Auaha, on behalf of Ako Panuku, will reimburse participants for reasonable out-of-pocket expenses such as.
- Airport parking
- Mileage, if using your personal motor vehicle to travel to and from the course (conditions apply)
- Departure tax
Expenses, other than mileage, will only be paid when accompanied by a valid GST receipt. We ask that you submit your claim using our online form.
Exclusions - for any course the following costs are excluded and will be at the participants own expense.
- Alcohol (with meals) - own responsibility
- Hotel charges - internet, phone, dry cleaning, movies, cafe coffee, mini bar etc
- Change to flights - if after your flight has been ticketed, the cost of any changes or upgrades are at individual or organisation expense.
ALL Claims must be submitted no later than 2 weeks after each course.
Claiming a Teacher Release Day (TRD)
Ako Panuku contributes to the costs of relief teachers while you attend an Ako Panuku course through payment of Teacher Release Days (TRDs) to your school. If available, TRDs are paid at the rate of $250.00 per two day course (inclusive of GST). Ako Panuku has been granted permission by Inland Revenue to issue Buyer Generated invoices. Once a hui has been attended, the TRD allowance will automatically be deposited into your school’s account and an invoice will be sent to your school outlining details of this payment.
Please note: The number of TRDs available vary across courses and may differ from previous years. Please check the course information on the website for TRD allocation. If a principal attends an Ako Panuku event, only those that are teaching principals will be allocated the appropriate Teacher Release Day (TRD).
