Greg Hansen
Chief Customer Officer
Surescripts
Greg Hansen is the Chief Customer Officer for Surescripts. All customer facing functions are consolidated in Mr. Hansen's organization. He is responsible for driving the overall customer experience with Surescripts as well as selling and expanding relationships to drive customer P&L across both core e-prescribing and clinical network services. His team is also responsible for working with technology vendor partners to encourage physician adoption and utilization of the Surescripts network.

Most recently Mr. Hansen was a 17 year veteran of Medco where he held a number of roles across the organization. Starting in customer service and pharmacy operations, Mr. Hansen took on many roles of increasing responsibility including leading its customer service call center in its flagship Las Vegas, NV facility. He later ran the start-up of a new call center operation in Tampa, FL as the Vice President and General Manager. After establishing the Tampa operation he moved laterally into the Medco market groups as the Vice President of Account and Member Service in the UHG division which was a dedicated unit focusing on Medco's largest and most strategic customer relationship. Mr. Hansen ultimately became the Chief Operating Officer of the UHG division where he was responsible for sales and account management, product and market strategy, custom IT development and marketing. Mr. Hansen was later asked to take over as Chief Operating Officer of Medco's standalone specialty pharmacy company, Accredo. Here Mr. Hansen was responsible for synthesizing Accredo market strategy and driving all aspects of specialty pharmacy operations to achieve growth and profitability objectives.

Prior to Medco, Mr. Hansen held various management roles in customer engagement and support call center operations for Nordic Track, Artistic Greetings, and Meyer Associates. He received his Bachelor of Science degrees in Finance and Economics from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, MN and later received his MBA with emphases in Finance and MIS from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
 
Tom Skelton
Chief Executive Officer

As Chief Executive Officer of Surescripts, Tom Skelton is responsible for leading the nationwide health information network’s strategy, performance and operations, as it works to perfect e-prescribing and expand clinical messaging capabilities across key market segments, including pharmacies, providers, benefit managers, and health information exchanges.

Mr. Skelton is a seasoned CEO with more than 25 years of experience in corporate management, strategic planning, and mergers and acquisitions, as well as strong expertise in both the healthcare technology and healthcare services sectors.
Radiology Group, a leading diagnostic imaging services firm which grew substantially under his leadership. Mr. Skelton also founded Confluence Medical Systems and served as a senior executive at MED3000, a technology-enabled provider of revenue cycle management services.

Before founding Confluence, he served as CEO of Misys Healthcare Systems from 2000 to 2007. During his tenure, Misys Healthcare more than doubled in size and expanded its business to include significant positions in home health and transaction services.
Mr. Skelton is based in Surescripts’ Arlington, VA corporate headquarters. He is a native of Pittsburgh, PA, where he studied Management Information Systems and Services at Robert Morris University. Mr. Skelton serves as a board member of Regenersis, a global provider of diagnostics, repair, and data erasure services to the consumer electronics industry. Until recently, he had also been a non-executive director of Micro Focus International Plc since 2006.
 
John Beckner
Senior Director, Strategic Initiatives
National Community Pharmacists Association

As Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives for the National Community Pharmacists Association, John works to represent the interests of America’s community pharmacists, which includes owners of more than 22,000 independent community pharmacies. He is a practicing pharmacist with 38 years of experience, including over 30 years in pharmacy operations management, and has been recognized for implementing meaningful and innovative pharmacy practice change, particularly in immunizations.

As an adjunct clinical instructor at Virginia Commonwealth University for 25 years, John helped found one of the first community pharmacy residency programs in the country.

 
Tara Dragert
Director | Product Innovation
As Director of Product Innovation, Tara Dragert leads product development and product management for Surescripts’ Clinical Interoperability Services portfolio of products that include Clinical Direct Messaging and National Record Locator Service.

Ms. Dragert has spent her career in healthcare technology serving the payer, provider, and network industries. She has a passion for peeling apart the layers of problems and opportunities in healthcare, identifying technology solutions, and continuously driving improvement and change. Ms. Dragert is pragmatic and adept in dynamic industries and leading extended, complex projects.

Previously, Ms. Dragert served in Business Analysis and Project Management roles at MinuteClinic where she lead teams to maintain and enhance the EHR, and DeCare Dental where she supported the development of a Customer Relationship Management system.

She received her BS in Business Administration with emphasis on Economics and Management Information Systems, and MBA from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN.
 
Danna E. Droz, JD, RPh

Danna Droz is a resident of Columbus, OH. She is a registered pharmacist licensed in Kentucky and Ohio. Ms. Droz is also a 1996 graduate of the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville, and a member of the Kentucky and Ohio Bars. Currently Ms. Droz is the Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) Liaison for the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP). She works with state PMPs to enhance their ability to work together and utilize NABP tools to complement the state programs. Ms. Droz is a frequent presenter on prescription monitoring programs, and drug law topics including pharmacy drug law, drug law for practitioners, and drug diversion. She also consults with states that are considering modifications to a prescription monitoring program.
 
Ryan Hess

Ryan Hess, Vice President of Product Innovation.Ryan manages multiple businesses for Surescripts, including the Medication History portfolio of services, CompletEPA, Medication Management for Adherence and our Specialty services. Ryan has been with Surescripts for four years.

Ryan joined Surescripts from Bain & Co, a management consulting firm, where he was a Principal.He spent nine years at Bain, primarily working in the healthcare industry.Ryan holds an MBA from the Darden School of Business (University of Virginia) and a BA in Economics / BS in Mathematics from Boston College. Ryan lives with his wife Susan in McLean, VA.

Tina Janacek is the Senior Product Analyst for the Medication History Portfolio which is focused on managing multiple medication history products such as Medication History for Reconciliation (MHR), Medication History for Ambulatory, Medication History for Panel Management and finally oversees the Prescription Monitoring Program at Surescripts. Tina has been with Surescripts since 2011. Prior to Surescripts, Tina served as a Senior Business Analyst at Allina Health where she supported the implementation of their EMR at Allina Health Hospitals and Clinics. She received her BA in Business Administration with emphasis on Management Information Technology from the University of St. Thomas and lives in Blaine, Minnesota with her husband and three children.
 
Tricia Krause

Patricia Krause is a Product Manager for Prescription Routing focused on the New SCRIPT program and maintaining the product’s health. Patricia joined Surescripts in December 2016. Prior to Surescripts, Patricia has over twenty-years of experience with a variety of roles within the healthcare industry spanning the pharmacy, clinical, insurer and pharmacy benefit manager settings. She lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota with her husband and three children.


 
Shanon Lanasa

As the Vice President of Customer Experience for Surescripts, Ms. Lanasa leads enterprise-wide management of customer experience and overall satisfaction. She oversees the teams interfacing with customers, advocating their needs across the enterprise and is creating a continuous improvement culture through the adoption of Six Sigma principles. Ms. Lanasa joined Surescripts in March 2013, bringing 23 years of experience in the customer service and engagement, account management, leadership and team building.
 
Mike Lessard
Director, Clinical Performance Improvements (CPI)

Mike Lessard is the Director of Clinical Performance Improvements (CPI) which is focused on addressing pain points and quality in e-prescribing. Mike comes to us with many years of experience in the healthcare industry launching new products and developing business strategy. He was previously a Senior Director, Product Strategy at Optum Rx a UnitedHealth Group company. Prior to Optum, Mike spent 7 years in pharmaceuticals with Novartis Pharmaceuticals and Johnson & Johnson. Mike has a passion for solving problems within healthcare and enjoys the opportunity to work directly with our Surescripts clients and end-users. Mike received his MBA from Augsburg University and BA in Communications Studies/Advertising from the University of Minnesota.
 
Mary Martin
Vice President, Strategic Alliances

Mary is a pediatric registered nurse by training with over 20 years of experience in healthcare information technology. Mary has counseled and collaborated with leading organizations throughout the nation’s health care system to develop and deploy a wide range of health IT strategies. Since joining Surescripts in 2004, Mary has played a leading role in creating the market for e-prescribing in the United States by working closely with prescriber vendors to drive its adoption and utilization. She has been part of the management team at Surescripts since 2009 helping grow the organization to become the nation’s leading health information network.

Prior to Surescripts, Mary was a consultant for the Advisory Board Company, Arthur Andersen, and Cerner Corporation. Her areas of expertise include health information networks, e-prescribing, strategic account management, health technology consulting, and contract negotiations.

Mary holds a BSN degree from Barry University and a MS degree from The University of Maryland where she was also awarded the Nursing Informatics Award of Excellence.



 
Shawn Martin
Senior Vice President, Advocacy
American Academy of Family Physicians

Shawn Martin, Senior Vice President of Advocacy and Practice Advancement and Policy at the AAFP, is responsible for overseeing the AAFP Division of Government Relations and the Robert Graham Center for Policy Studies in Family Medicine and Primary Care in Washington, DC, as well as the Division of Practice Advancement at the AAFP headquarters in Leawood, Kan. In this role, he directs legislative and private sector advocacy on issues such as physician payment and medical liability reform.

Prior to joining the AAFP senior management team, Martin served as Director of Government Relations and health policy and Director of socioeconomic affairs at the American Osteopathic Association. He began his career at AOA as the Assistant Director of congressional affairs from 1999 to 2000, when he was promoted to Deputy Director of government relations and Director of Congressional Affairs. In 2006, he was named Director of Government Relations and Health Policy and, in 2011, he also became Director of Socioeconomic Affairs at the AOA.

Martin has served on the National Quality Assurance Coalition Patient Centered Medical Home Advisory Board, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality Practice Transformation Advisory Board, the Hospital and Facilities Accreditation Program Patient-Centered Medical Home Advisory Panel. He serves in leadership roles of several coalitions in Washington, including a six-year period as Chair of the Health Coalition on Liability and Access.  He also is an active member of the Patient Centered Primary Care Collaborative, where he has served in several official leadership roles since its inception in 2006.

A native of Oklahoma, Martin earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and marketing from Phillips University in 1992.

 
Deven McGraw

Deven McGraw serves as the deputy director for health information privacy at the HHS Office for Civil Rights (OCR) and is the acting chief privacy officer for the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology. 

Ms. McGraw is a well-respected expert on the HIPAA rules and brings to her positions a wealth of experience in both the private sector and the non-profit advocacy world. Prior to joining HHS, she was a partner in the healthcare practice of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP.  She previously served as the director of the health privacy projects at the Center for Democracy & Technology, which is a leading consumer voice on health privacy and security policy issues, and as the chief operating officer at the National Partnership for Women & Families, where she provided strategic leadership and substantive policy expertise for the partnership’s health policy agenda.

Ms. McGraw graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maryland. She earned her J.D., magna cum laude, and her L.L.M. from Georgetown University Law Center, and was executive editor of the Georgetown Law Journal. She has a Master’s degree in public health from Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health.

Patrice Olson is the Director of  Product Innovation for Routing at Surescripts.  In this role she is responsible for strategy,
planning, development and management of our routing product  portfolio.

Ms. Olson has more than 20 years of experience in pharmacy benefit management and healthcare information technology
where she led large scale strategic and operational product development initiatives with a history of delivering high value
projects with significant capital investments.

Prior to joining Surescripts, Ms. Olson contributed to the growth of Express Scripts (formerly Medco Health Solutions)
for over 15 years.  While at Medco, Ms. Olson led various product development initiatives  including Channel Optimization,
Electronic Prescribing and Custom Client Development.

Ms. Olson received her Bachelors of Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida.

Margaux leads Surescripts’ eligibility and formulary business and has 10+ years of experience in strategy, product innovation and operational roles across technology markets including Health IT, Pharma, Biotech and Aerospace & Defense. Margaux has been with Surescripts in various strategy/ operational roles for five+ years, ran a boutique consultancy for two years and served as a management consultant at Booz & Co. in the US, Europe and Middle East.  Margaux received her Masters in Finance at Harvard University and her Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and in Urban Studies at UC Berkeley's College of Environmental Design.

Paul Uhrig

Paul Uhrig is the Chief Administrative, Legal & Privacy Officer for Surescripts. He is responsible for a number of critical corporate functions, including internal information systems, internal audit, legal, privacy, security, policy, and governmental aairs as well as certification compliance, a critical function that is part of Surescripts’ larger focus on quality and patient safety. Mr Uhrig also is responsible for the Surescripts Enterprise Services business unit, operating an e-prescribing application, a patient portal, and an automated clinical messaging technology.

Mr. Uhrig came to Surescripts from the law firm of Gardner Carton & Douglas LLP in Washington, D.C., where he was vice chairman of the firm’s corporate department, chairman of the corporate department’s regulated industries transactions practice group, and a member of the firm’s health department. Prior to joining Surescripts, Mr. Uhrig represented Surescripts as its outside general counsel since its inception.

Mr. Uhrig brings 25 years of experience to Surescripts, focusing on the healthcare industry throughout that time. At Gardner Carton & Douglas, Mr. Uhrig focused on mergers, asset and stock acquisitions, joint venture formation and corporate planning with healthcare clients. His clients included private equity investors in middle market transactions, portfolio companies, health care systems, ancillary providers of health care services, physician groups, and investors involved with health industry projects and various other enterprises related to the healthcare industry. Prior to joining Gardner Carton & Douglas, Mr. Uhrig was a partner in the Washington Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP.

Mr. Uhrig received his law degree from the American University, Washington College of Law, and his Bachelors of Arts in Economics from The University of Notre Dame.
 
Jon White, MD
Deputy National Coordinator for Health Information Technology

Dr. Jon White serves as deputy national coordinator for health information technology. The family physician has dedicated his career to improving health and health care quality through the use and sharing of electronic health information. At ONC, Dr. White provides high level executive direction and leadership for all ONC programs and policies, and advances key priorities. He has led mission-critical activities, including the publication of high priority, nationally impactful regulations, the publication of the Shared Nationwide Interoperability Roadmap, a widely-publicized congressional report on information blocking, and ONC’s efforts in the precision medicine initiative.

Before his service at ONC, Dr. White was director of the division of health IT at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). In his role at AHRQ, he directed hundreds of projects in 48 states, including research, demonstration and implementation projects on a wide variety of health IT applications and issues. Dr. White has deep experience working with federal government partners (including the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and the Department of Veterans Affairs), as well as key health care professional, patient, policy, and health IT stakeholder groups to implement major health care initiatives.

Dr. White trained in family medicine at the University of Virginia and Lancaster General Hospital in Pennsylvania. He is a recipient of the national AAFP Award for Excellence in Graduate Education.
