Programme Participation Guidelines

The Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) is committed to ensuring a valuable learning environment for participants in the Around the World International Development Programme. All participants are expected to comply with the letter and spirit of the programme participation guidelines.


ACTE Escort
Around the World participants will be joined by an ACTE staff leader in each city who will coordinate activities and on site logistics. The ACTE staff leader will introduce himself/herself prior to departure.



Participation
Responsibilities
   Participant must obtain valid passport and visas prior to programme departure. Participants are responsible for their air travel to/from destination cities, meals (with the exception of breakfast) and personal expenses. ACTE can assist in securing airline arrangements, however the participant is responsible for the costs.



Lodging & Ground Transportation
Lodging is included in the Around the World Programme fee. Breakfast and internet access is included at designated hotel. Ground transportation will include destination airport pick up/drop off as well as service between all scheduled meetings and designated hotel.



Attendance
Participant is requested to attend all scheduled programme activities. Complete schedules will be shared in advance of outbound departure.



Cancellation & Withdrawal Policy

Participant must notify ACTE of any intention to withdraw, cancel, or modify his/her participation. Airline penalties and additional fees are the responsibility of the participant. ACTE’s refund fee for the Special Training Programme can be found on the pricing page.




Programme Changes & Cancellation
ACTE reserves the right to make changes to programme dates, destinations, accommodations, and scheduled activities due to external factors that might put participants' safety and security at risk or other events that might diminish or detract from the learning value of the programme experience.



Programme Purpose
The Around the World Programme is designed to be an immersive learning experience that introduces participants to business travel practices and processes through interaction with ACTE’s extensive network of travel professionals in each region. It is not an opportunity to solicit or prospect for new business opportunities.
