2016 Joint Annual Conference

2016 Joint Annual Conference
09/11 - 09/14/2016
Keystone
United States
The Joint Annual Conference will be hosting its inaugural “Is Your Toilet Running?” 5K run at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 11, 2016. The name was chosen to highlight water conservation...on the water side, a running toilet wastes water and places additional demands on water supply, and on the wastewater side, a running toilet increases hydraulic loading and reduces organic loading, both of which lead to less efficient operation of a water resource recovery facility.

The run will be a fundraiser for the Public Education committee and help support high school science fairs. Sponsorship opportunities are available for the start and finish lines ($200 each), and at 1K, 2K, 3K, and 4K signs ($100 each). Please contact Brenda Varner for sponsorship information at bvarner@englewoodgov.org.

Runners will meet at the Keystone Conference Center and then walk over to the Start/Finish line just south of Keystone Lodge. The run will be an out and back course on the paved path adjacent to the Snake River, and a map of the route can be previewed below.

Water will be provided at the Start/Finish line and at the 2.5K turnaround point. All participants are invited to join the group for a post‐run happy hour and random prize drawing at the Keystone Lodge's Bighorn Bistro, and participants registered by August 25 will also receive a free t‐shirt. Sign up for the run via normal registration, and make sure to review the waiver as you will need to complete and sign this before participating. Participants are required to complete the 5k Run Individual Liability Waiver Form (see below) prior to the start of the ride.
