How to get to Versailles 

From the airport

Versailles is linked by motorway to two international airports and a commercial aerodrome:

To the north of Paris, ROISSY CHARLES DE GAULLE is 40 km away.
To the east of Versailles, ORLY is 25 km away.
The Toussus le Noble Aerodrome only handles business aviation, and is 10 km away.
 
Getting to Versailles from the Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle Airport:
 
By Train:
Take RER B to Saint Michel Notre Dame, and then RER C to Versailles Rive Gauche (takes about 1,5 hours)

By Car/Taxi:
Take highway A1 towards Paris, and then take the exit towards Rouen/Périphérique Ouest to go on Bd Périphérique. Take the exit onto A13 toward Versailles, on A13 in the direction of Versailles take the exit n°5 Versailles Centre/Versailles Château.
A taxi will cost 80 - 110 EUR and the trip takes about 1 - 1,5 hours.

By Air France shuttle:
Go to Porte Maillot and then take a taxi to reach Versailles.
Go to Montparnasse train station and then take the SNCF train to Versailles-Chantiers.

 
Getting to Versailles from Orly Airport:

By Train:
Take RER C to Massy Palaiseau, then change and take RER C towards Versailles Rive Gauche.

By Car/Taxi:
Take A106 and merge into A86. Continue on N12 and take the exit n°2 toward Versailles Centre.
A taxi will cost 50 – 70 EUR and the trip takes about 45 min - 1 h 15 min.
 
By Air-France shuttle:
Go to Invalides train station where you take RER C to Versailles-Rive Gauche.
Go to Montparnasse train station and then take SNCF train to Versailles-Chantiers.
 

 
By train
 
From Paris Gare du Nord:
Take RER C line towards Versailles Rive-Gauche. Get off at Versailles Rive Gauche train station (5 min walk from palace).
Be careful and make sure to buy "Paris-Versailles Rive Gauche" ticket. T+ ticket is not valid for this journey.
 
From Paris Montparnasse
SNCF trains serve the Versailles Chantiers train station.
 
From Paris Saint Lazare
Take an SNCF train to Versailles Rive-Droite.
 
A taxi from the train stations will cost 50 - 70 EUR and the trip takes 45 min - 1 h 15 min.
 


By car
 
From Paris, take highway A13 towards Versailles/Saint Quentin-en-Yvelines/Rouen to exit n°5 Versailles Centre/Versailles Château.Head toward Versailles, then take avenue des Etats-Unis, and eventually avenue de Saint Cloud.Versailles can also be reached by A86, and N10.
