A visit to the home of George Washington is a great American adventure everyone should experience, especially when you can do it by boat! Spirit provides the only round-trip Mount Vernon cruises direct from Washington, DC to the historical estate located on the banks of the Potomac River in Fairfax County, VA. Enjoy a leisurely narrated riverfront tour as we cruise to the Mount Vernon estate. While on board, take in the beautiful scenery along the Potomac and purchase a bite to eat from the snack bar.
Cost is $80.00 and includes bus transportation from hotel to the dock, cruise to the estate, admission to Mount Vernon, your cruise back to Spirit’s dock and bus transportation back to the hotel. The cruise to Mount Vernon typically takes 1.5 hours. You will have about 3 hours at the estate before boarding for our 1.5 hour return cruise to DC. Take a guided tour or explore the estate grounds on your own.
Lunch and snacks are available on the boat and at Mount Vernon - these are not included in the cost above. The bus will leave the hotel at 7:15 AM and return at approximately 3:30 PM.

The museum explores the techniques employed by law enforcement agencies and the government to investigate and solve crimes and through intense interactive and highly-personalized scenarios, gives visitors a glimpse into the consequences associated with punishment, incarceration, and rehabilitation.
Five unique galleries burrow deep into the studies of criminal intent, criminal profiles, serial killers, issues associated with crime, the penal system, victims, crime prevention, and more. The Crime Museum provides America's most thorough and comprehensive study of the development and evolution of crime and punishment through the eyes of both the criminal and the crime fighter - from the offense through the sentencing and imprisonment process. The Crime Museum presents both the fascinations and horrors of this harsh everyday reality like never before.

The mission of the museum is to provide guests of all ages with memorable insight into our nation’s history of crime and its consequences, law enforcement, forensic science, and crime scene investigation through a captivating, interactive, entertaining, and educational experience.
Cost is $70.00 and includes bus to/from the museum, entrance fee and a special forensics lab for the group. Lunch will be available around the museum, but is not included in the above cost. The bus will leave the hotel at 8:30 AM and return at approximately 3:00 PM.
