A Chapel Hill native, North Carolina Senator Jeff Jackson holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in philosophy from Emory University and earned his law degree from the University of North Carolina. He serves in the Army National Guard and saw active duty in Afghanistan. Senator Jackson previously worked as an Assistant District Attorney in Gaston County. In 2013-14, he was the third vice chair of the Mecklenburg County Democratic Party. Jackson and wife Marisa live in Charlotte with their 2 children.
