Youth and Youth leaders have great potential of intervening and preventing the injustice of child sex trafficking.  Training tomorrow’s leaders with the following objectives is in the bullseye of Araminta’s mission:

  • To understand human trafficking and how it effects our schools and community

ADDICTIONS & OPIOIDS with Derek Matthews – PM Only - Substance misuse IS in your neighborhood.  It is in ALL communities.  AWARENESS is the first and most important step in PREVENTION.  Learn how to avoid the most common trap into which families fall into.

Loving, caring, protective families likely do not know the traits that put young people at the highest risk for addiction. No one would expect an academically high achiever, well behaved child engaged in extracurricular activities to one day be a heroin addict. This BREAK-OUT will share the teenage distractions and choices that are life threatening, please consider this - could you or a friend be lonely, anxious, impulsive, or on overload from today’s expectations for teenagers. "Again, our goal is to provide awareness with a focus on prevention with the full intent that families avoid the disease called addiction".

This is a mature subject. Please be advised.

Can words kill...can they become a weapon of pain and death? Sticks and stones may break our bones but words will never hurt me is no longer the case. It's one thing to face off with the playground bully but it's something else when we are attacked through our electronic devices, anonymously. How do we recognize and even participate in this unhealthy behavior that has led to death? How do we protect ourselves from bullying.  This is a mature subject. Please be advised.
