MPLS SDN NFV 2019 - Workshop

At the MPLS + SDN + NFV World conference taking place 9-12 April, Nokia will show the demos listed below. You can reserve slots through your Nokia sales contact.

1. Insight- driven automation (Sven Wisotzky, Nigel Bennett)

This demo is split into two distinct areas around automation.

Demo 1 dives into the new model-driven (YANG-based) mediation framework introduced in NSP18, including NSP applications to make use of it for both 3rd party IP devices as well as SR-OS devices in model driven mode. It includes the chance to see the new REST/RESTCONF APIs showing how network and service configurations can be made and automated with the embedded workflow manager and using the Kafka bus to obtain object and event state plus connection to real-time Telemetry feeds. Attendees will have a chance to obtain a demonstration of the new NSP Dev Portal as a unified, one stop shop for all NSP related APIs, tutorials, SDKs, sample code and development support, showcasing NSP Cloud Lab-as-a-Service which enables customers to connect their operations to NSP in the least time at the lowest cost.

Demo 2 showcases the latest and greatest advancements of NSP Assurance, Analytics and infrastructure management applications enabled for any NSP deployment of carrier SDN or network management in IP/MPLS, Ethernet or IP/optical networks as well as for both physical or virtual network domains where applicable. It also provides a preview of forward-looking capabilities which incorporates machine learning concepts and assurance automation, while showcasing the analytics and reporting capabilities of NSP. SDN Insight-driven network automation means CSPs can deliver the experience they want, at the budget they have, and do so at cloud-scale.

2. Network Functions Interconnect for cloud, IoT and 5G (Johann Kellerman)

Networks are evolving, traffic continues to explode; virtualization is becoming a reality and 5G use cases drives lower latency and distributed datacenters. The Nokia NFIX fabric addresses these requirements and network slicing with a combination of industry standard mechanisms. This demo will show how centralized automation, control and feedback enables seamless interconnection of physical and virtual network functions in central or edge clouds.

3.
SD-WAN: addressing IT requirements illustrated in live Service Provider portal demos (Jeroen Rommens, Darren Richards, Nicolas Charpentier)

The portal is a key component of the SD-WAN service! To illustrate this, we will demonstrate live Service Provider customer portals and our latest Nokia SD-WAN Portal. Our experts will guide you through all aspects of what makes or breaks a portal for a managed SD-WAN service offering.

EANTC

Nokia will participate in this year’s EANTC interop testing on EVPN, Segment Routing, PCEP.
