Mark D Gibson
HFF Chief Executive Officer



        Mr. Gibson became a director and Vice Chairman of HFF, Inc. in November 2006 and effective April 1, 2014, he became the Chief Executive Officer of HFF, Inc. Mr. Gibson is one of our founding partners having joined our predecessor firm, Holliday Fenoglio & Company, in 1984. Mr. Gibson has held the position of executive managing director of HFF LP since 2003, served as a member of either HFF LP’s executive and/or operating committee, when each was the governing committee, from 1993 to 2010 and also served as co-head of the Company’s Dallas office during that time period. Mr. Gibson has served as a member of HFF LP’s executive committee since 2010 and he has also been a member of the operating committee of HFF Holdings since 2003.

Gibson is a trustee for the Urban Land Institute (ULI) ,a member of ULI’s Executive Committee and a member of ULI’s IOPC Gold Council; member of the Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate (AFIRE); former chairman of the University of Texas Real Estate Finance and Investment Center and member of its Executive Committee; member of the board of visitors at UT Southwestern University Hospitals and Clinics; member of the McCombs School of Business Advisory Council at The University of Texas at Austin; advisory board member of Baylor Health Care System Foundation; Trustee and member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC); a member of World Presidents’ Organization and World Affairs Council. Mr. Gibson graduated in 1981 from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.B.A. in Finance. Mr. Gibson’s history with the Company allows him to bring to the board of directors a deep knowledge of the Company’s and the Operating Partnerships’ development and operations. In addition, Mr. Gibson’s experience with various real estate industry professional associations and role within the Operating Partnerships provides the board with valuable insight into the issues and market developments facing the real estate industry as a whole.

Frank Kelly

  Frank Kelly is Global Coordinator for Public Affairs as well as head of Government & Public Affairs for North and Latin Americas. In this role, he manages and coordinates relationships with elected officials and political and legislative bodies globally. Additionally, he heads up the Bank’s U.S. Direct Investment Advisory Group (DIAG) providing strategic counsel to non-US companies engaged in cross-border mergers and acquisitions requiring regulatory and political approvals.
Mr. Kelly also serves as the Bank’s Chief Political Risk Strategist advising clients on geopolitical and domestic risk issues and their impact on markets and industry sectors.

Previously, he was Head of Communications & Public Affairs – Americas overseeing legislative and regulatory matters, corporate and internal communications, branding and advertising and conferences and events for Deutsche Bank in the Western Hemisphere. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Mr. Kelly held senior positions at both Charles Schwab & Co. and Merrill Lynch & Co, Inc.

Before joining the private sector, Mr. Kelly served at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as Chief Spokesman as well as the US Department of Justice as Assistant to the Director for Policy Development.

Prior to these posts, he served in both the George H. W. Bush and, earlier, the Reagan White House where he started as a writer for President Reagan.

Mr. Kelly is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the International Institute of Strategic Studies. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the American Council on Germany. Mr. Kelly, his wife, Maura, and their two living children resides in Great Falls, Virginia.

Neal Soss

Dr. Neal M. Soss is a Managing Director, Vice Chairman of Global Fixed Income and Economics Research and Chief Economist at Crédit Suisse AG, Research Division. He joined the firm in 1984. Dr. Soss was previously a Vice President at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and served as assistant to the Chairman of the Federal Reserve Board. As a Vice President, his responsibilities included bank supervision and foreign relations. Additionally, he served as Director of the Banking Research and Economic Analysis Division in the US Office of the Comptroller of Currency. Dr. Soss has also held various positions in New York State government, including three years in the New York State Banking Department as both Deputy and First Deputy Superintendent of banks. As Chief Economist, in the office of Secretary of the Governor during the Carey administration, Dr. Soss acted as liaison between state economic agencies and the Governor. He was a Member of Advisory Board at American Mobile Dental Corporation since December 2004. Dr. Soss holds MA and Ph.D degrees in Economics from Princeton University. He received his BA, summa cum laude, in Economics and Spanish from Williams College.

Doug joined Aegon USA Investment Management, LLC (AUIM) and its affiliates in 2000. In January 2015, Doug was named Head of U.S Public fixed Income, with responsibilities across a broad range of structured finance and investment grade fixed income strategies. In addition, he is a member of the Asset Aegon Management steering committee that sets global macro and asset allocation strategies, (global house views) and has responsibility for implementation of those views in the U,S. Prior to joining AUIM, Doug was employed in the treasury and investment management areas of nationally chartered bank before becoming a commercial real estate lender at that institution. Doug has 20 years of industry experience and 16 years of experience with AUIM and its affiliates. Doug received his BA in economics and his MBA in finance from the University of Iowa. He has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.  

       

Jim joined Aegon USA Investment Management, LLC (AUIM) in 2004. Jim is Head of U.S Leveraged Finance and a Portfolio Manager. Jim also manages the U.S and global high yield, emerging markets, leveraged loans, distressed assets, and multi-manager alternative strategies portfolio. He also is responsible for stressed and special situation securities, and all restricting and bankruptcy situations for AUIM. In addition, he is a member of the Aegon Asset Management steering committee that sets global macro and asset allocation strategies (global house views) and has responsibility of implementation of those views in the U.S. Prior to joining AUIM, Jim served as a Vice President at PPM America's Distressed Debt and Workout Group.  Jim also worked in corporate banking and investment banking positions at Wachovia Corporation, Bank of America Securities, and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in Chicago. Jim has 23 years of industry experience and 12 years experience with AUIM. He received his BS in finance from Miami (Ohio) University and his MBA from Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

       

Jennifer joined Aegon USA Investment Management, LLC (AUIM) and its affiliates in 1998. Jennifer is the Head of the U.S Credit Research. Jennifer global responsibility for credit analysis of investment grade and high yield securities, including analysis of leveraged loan and emerging market credits within her coverage universe. In addition to her analytical responsibilities, Jennifer oversees the U.S research team. Prior to her current role, Jennifer spent several years in the asset allocation analysis, money market trading, and investment grade trading areas. She also analyzed public investment grade bonds for the investment branch of Legal and General. Jennifer has 18 years of industry experience and 17 years of experience within AUIM and its affiliates. Jennifer received her BBA from Mount Mercy College, her MBA from the University of Iowa, and has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Scott joined Aegon USA Realty Advisors, LLC (AURA) in 1997. Scott was named Co-Head of Real Estate in 2016 and jointly leads AURA’s day-to-day business activities. Prior to his current role, Scott was Head of AURA’s Commercial Mortgage Loan, Agriculture Loan, and Engineering lines of business. In this role, he oversaw the origination, management and policies of AURA’s commercial mortgage and agricultural lending operations in the US and was responsible for the relationship management activities of AURA’s commercial mortgage and agricultural lender clients. Prior to joining AURA, Scott worked as an analyst for a NYC-based commercial real estate brokerage firm and managed the real estate platform of a Midwest life insurance company. Scott has 31 years of industry experience. He received his BA and MBA from Baylor University.

       

Christoph joined Aegon USA Realty Advisors, LLC (AURA) in 2000. Christoph was named Co-Head of Real Estate in 2016 and jointly leads AURA’s day-to-day business activities. Previously, Christoph was Head of Community Investments at AURA, responsible for the oversight of AURA’s tax credit investing business line. Earlier in his tenure at Aegon, he served as head of the Tax Credit Asset Management, Production and Distribution groups. Prior to joining AURA, he worked for several banks and institutions, in various aspects of the tax credit industry. Christoph has 28 years of industry experience. He received his BA in economics from Tufts University and MBA from Boston College.

       

Donald joined Aegon USA Realty Advisors, LLC (AURA) in 1998. Donald is Vice President of Valuation and Research and serves as AURA’s Chief Appraiser and Director of Applied Research. Prior to joining AURA, Donald was an independent fee appraiser for appraisal firms in Houston, Texas, and Bank of America in Los Angeles, California. Donald has been active in the commercial real estate market since 1979 as an appraiser, broker, consultant, and investor. He earned his BS degree in real estate and finance from the University of Houston (Downtown College.

Frank joined Aegon USA Investment Management, LLC (AUIM) in 2008. Frank is the Director of Macro Strategy and has a leading role in guiding the firm’s global macro strategy as it pertains to tactical and strategic asset allocation. Before joining AUIM, Frank worked as an equity and credit analyst for UBS Investment Bank covering various industries. During his time at UBS, he also served in a role helping develop UBS’s credit strategy views. Prior to that Frank worked as an analyst for ZT Zurich Trust in Zurich, Switzerland. Frank began his career as a trader for Spear, Leeds & Kellogg, and held a similar position at The Royal Bank of Scotland. Frank has 20 years of industry experience and eight years of experience with AUIM. Frank received his BA in Economics from Boston College, and has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Joel Coleman is the Chief Investment Officer for AEGON Americas. He provides senior investment oversight for the US and Canadian insurance businesses of AEGON NV. He is responsible for establishing portfolio strategy and asset allocation for the firm’s $100 billion investment portfolio.

Joel assumed his current role in April 2011 after leading the Portfolio Management Group, which managed the construction of AEGON USA’s portfolios, including portfolio strategy and asset allocation. Prior to joining the Portfolio Management Group, Joel served as an Asset Specialist on the Investment Grade Corporate bond desk.

Prior to joining AEGON in 2002, he led the Investment Grade Corporate Bond desk for INVESCO. Previously, he had held positions in fixed income portfolio management at Providian.

Joel is a Chartered Financial Analyst and Fellow of the Society of Actuaries. He received his B.S. in Mathematics from the Pennsylvania State University.

       

Andrew Junkin is President of Wilshire Consulting and is a member of Wilshire’s Board of Directors and Wilshire Consulting's Investment Committee. Mr. Junkin leads over 90 consulting professionals who serve Wilshire’s consulting clients, and provides strategic leadership to Wilshire Consulting.

Mr. Junkin joined Wilshire in 2005. Throughout his tenure at Wilshire, he has worked directly with large institutional investors of all types: public and corporate defined benefit plans, foundations, endowments and insurance companies. He has 21 years of investment experience with the last 20 years in the consulting industry. Prior to joining Wilshire, he was director of research and senior consultant at Asset Services Company where he provided advice to institutional investors. Mr. Junkin began his career as a financial consultant with Merrill Lynch in Oklahoma City. He earned a BS from Oklahoma City University, attended business school at the Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma and earned his MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Junkin holds the Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designations.





       

Steve Case is a Partner in the New York office of Mercer’s Investments business. He joined the firm in 2008 and serves as a generalist investment consultant for large institutional investment clients. Steve’s 30+ year institutional investment career includes experience as an investment consultant, plan sponsor and investment manager. He has over 25 years of investment consulting experience, working as the practice leader at Evaluation Associates and as a senior consultant for Rogers Casey prior to joining Mercer. He also served as an investment analyst for the AT&T pension investment team, oversaw the sub-advisory and pension assets of AXA Financial / Equitable and served as the manager of the strategic relationship team at Putnam Investments. He was recently selected as one of the 25 most influential investment consultants in the world by Chief Investment Officer magazine. Steve earned Bachelor in economics from Occidental College and an MBA in finance from Dartmouth’s Amos Tuck School of Business. He is a CFA® charterholder.
