Description: The Dental Assisting National Board Inc. (DANB) offers certification opportunities for dental assistants at every stage of their careers. During this Learning Lab, DANB will outline how to apply and prepare for the exams, discuss the benefits of certification, and share information about state regulations and the results of its salary survey. Attendees also will learn how DANB exams can help to ensure compliance with state dental practice acts, as well as learn more about the DALE Foundation, the official DANB affiliate, and the e-learning products it offers.

Learning objectives:

Be able to identify DANB’s national certifications and component exams.
Understand the steps to apply and take a DANB exam.
Be able to identify ways to prepare to take a DANB exam.
Understand state recognition of DANB exams.
