Dr. Gerald Botko is the Chief Dental Service Miami Healthcare System in Miami, Florida. Previously he had a private practice and has been affiliated with several dental schools. Dr. Botko has written many articles for Dental Journals including Impact, He is a reviewer for the Journal of Dental Education and has been involved in dental research and development. He presented a webinar with Dr. Ghali and oral surgeon on the Role of the General dentist in oral cancer detection. He teaches on hospital dentistry and lectures to the medical staff on oral cancer He is a retired Army Colonel and is the president of the Academy of General Dentistry Foundation. Which focuses on oral cancer and emphasis on reducing the numbers that are detected in the late stages of the disease.

"Mark Buczko (pronounced butch co) is a native of Chicago, IL, a graduate of Loyola University Business School and a 30+ year survivor of the insurance industry. He continues to be a student of the insurance industry and holds several prestigious insurance industry designations. Mark first began working with dentists in 1987; and has gained experience in all aspects of dental professional liability. In his current role as Vice President of the Dentist's Advantage Program, Mark’s responsibilities include aspects of Underwriting, Marketing and Risk Management. Mark has worked very closely with the AGD since 2000; and is proud to be a past president of your AGD Foundation Board of Directors. Anthony Carroccia DDS, MAGD, ABGD
Dr. Carroccia is a general dentist who works in his five chair practice four to five days a week in Clarksville, Tennessee. He began teaching his peer reviewed courses in Tennessee back in 2010 but his sedation training dates back to 2002. He achieved a Diplomate from the dental organization for Conscious Sedation in 2006. He has consulted with nitrous delivery unit innovators as well as the authors of the "Handbook of Nitrous Oxide and Oxygen Sedation." Ann L. Brunick and Morris S. Clark. Last year he spoke at the ADA annual meeting on the topic to great reviews.

Ajay Dhankhar DDS, FAGD

Dr. Dhankhar earned his BDS from University of Mysore in 1997, DDS from Loma Linda University, California in 2003. He is a wet handed dentist with an IV Sedation based Hi-Tech cosmetic dental practice in the Microsoft town of Seattle, Washington. He is also an affiliate faculty at the University of Washington, Dept. of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery since 2007 and is the clinical attending training GPR Residents.
Dr. Dhankhar has won quite a few awards and accolades for his clinical excellence and teaching! In 2005 he became a fellow of the World Clinical Laser Institute. In 2009 he was 53rd in United States to earn Masters in the College of Conscious Sedation, a prestigious qualification awarded by American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He was trained in Neuromuscular Dentistry at Las Vegas Institute and is known for his cosmetic excellence. In 2012 he passed the examinations of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry a Sustaining Member now. His latest accomplishment in 2014 beat them all when he was awarded the Fellowship by American Academy of General Dentistry.
 
Marianne Dryer RDH, MEd
"Marianne Dryer is the DENTSPLY Professional Clinical Educator serving the Northeastern United States. Marianne is a graduate of the Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists in Boston, MA, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from Old Dominion University. She completed her Master of Education degree from St. Joseph's College of Maine. She served as the first year coordinator at Collin County Community College in Dallas, Texas for six years where she was selected for the Outstanding Faculty Award and was nominated for the Advisor of the Year award by her former students. Marianne has been a faculty member at Cape Cod Community College since 2007 and adjunct faculty at Bristol Community College and Mount Ida College in Newton MA. She is active in the local and state dental hygiene organizations in Massachusetts. Marianne has organized and participated in several dental mission events including a three week dental mission trip to Romania. She is also a Periodontal Instrumentation instructor for DH Methods of Education, Inc., an educational program for dental and dental hygiene faculty. Marianne’s experience in dentistry spans almost 30 years as a clinician and an educator. She resides in the Boston area with her husband, two children and Lily, her golden retriever. Todd B. Engel DDS

Dr Todd B. Engel, Charlotte, North Carolina, is a graduate of the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry where he also received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr Engel is a Diplomat of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and maintains active membership status with the following associations: American College of Oral Implantology, Academy of Osseointegration, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Orange County Dental Society.

Robert Fazio DMD

Dr. Fazio of Ridgefield, Connecticut is a graduate of Harvard College and the Harvard School of Dental Medicine with additional fellowships in Periodontology and Oral Medicine. For 35 years he has been an Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery at Yale Medical School and an Attending at the Yale New Haven Hospital, New Haven Connecticut. His current book, co-authored with Leslie Fang M.D., is the 2016 Edition of “The Ultimate Cheat Sheets – The Practical Guide for Dentists”. It has been named by  Gordon Christianson’s CRA Newsletter: “Best Educational Product” for three consecutive years. He serves on the Editorial Board for the Journals: Inside Dentistry and Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry.

Adam J. Freeman DDS, MAGD, D-ABFO
Adam J. Freeman, DDS, D-ABFO of Westport, Connecticut, earned his dental degree from Columbia University's College of Dental Medicine. He completed a fellowship in forensic odontology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and Center for Education and Research in Forensics (CERF) in 2003. Dr. Freeman is a Diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Odontology and currently serves as its President. He is one of less than one hundred board certified forensic dentists. He is the Dental Section Chief of Health and Human Services DMORT Region 1; a federal team dedicated to identifying the victims of mass fatality incidents. He is the Founder and Director of The State of Connecticut's Disaster Identification Response Team (DIRT, and the Deputy Chair of lnterpol's Disaster Victim Identification Odontology Working Group.

Dr. Freeman lectures internationally and has authored many chapters in textbooks as well as articles on the topic of forensic dentistry. Dr. Kevin Gureckis is currently a full-time Associate Professor in the Department of Comprehensive Dentistry at UTHSC San Antonio School of Dentistry, where he is General Practice Group Leader for 26 DS3 and DS4 students. He is a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry, certified by the American Board of General Dentistry, and a Fellow in the International College of Dentists, American College of Dentists, and Pierre Fauchard Academy. Dr. Gureckis is a retired military officer with over 24 years of active duty service with the United States Air Force, having ended his career as the director of the two-year AEGD residency at Lackland Air Force Base, TX. He has held appointments as Military Consultant to the USAF Surgeon General for General Dentistry, and has served as Special Consultant to the Assistant Surgeon General for Dental Services.

Currently, he is serving on the WSDA's Board of Directors and as CDE Chair of WAGD.
He has been an active participant in identifying human remains in Snohomish County and has participated in several mass disaster drills as member of the Washington State Mass Disaster Team.  Outside of dentistry, Dr. Heyamoto is a team statistician for the Seattle Seahawks and the UW Husky Football and Basketball teams.

Richard Hunt DDS
Dr. Richard Hunt is an esthetic and restorative dentist in Rocky Mount, NC. He is a 1989 graduate of the University of North Carolina of Dentistry. His practice is focused on developing trusting relationships and helping individuals develop life-long plans for their oral health. Dr. Hunt has served as a member of the Visiting Faculty of the Pankey Institute since 2003. Currently, he serves as a lead faculty for the Essentials 1 curriculum. Douglas L. Lambert, DDS, FACD, FASDA, FASD, ABAD, graduated from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management in 1980 and the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1984, where he received the Outstanding Senior Student Award and the Quintessence Award.  He is a Fellow in the American College of Dentists, the Pierre Fauchard Academy, the Academy for Sports Dentistry, the American Society for Dental Aesthetics, and a Diplomat of the American Board of Aesthetic Dentistry. He has been recognized annually as one of the Top Dental Educators by Dentistry Today, for 12 consecutive years, and has been honored as a Top Dentist by Minneapolis/St. Paul and Minnesota Monthly magazines each year the past 11 years. He also serves as an independent consultant and clinical researcher for many dental manufacturers, and as the team dentist for the Minnesota Lynx of the WNBA  Dr. Lambert is senior partner in an aesthetic-based practice in Edina, Minnesota emphasizing cosmetic, comprehensive, and sports dentistry.  In his spare time, he enjoys relaxing with his family at their cabin in Wisconsin, and playing a little golf.
 
Benjamin Larkin JD
Attorney Larkin received his A.B. degree from Dartmouth College, his J.D. degree from George Washington University and his M.A. from the University of New Hampshire. He has additional training in mediation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution. Attorney Larkin has been practicing law for over 21 years. Harvey Levy, DMD, MAGD practices general and hospital dentistry in Frederick, Maryland. He emphasizes comprehensive dental care for individuals with anxiety or special needs. He graduated from Tufts University Dental School in 1974, Residency at Eastman Dental Center in 1976, and was a clinical residency director at University of Penn Hospital.
Dr. Levy has earned Mastership plus four Lifelong Learning Service Recognitions by the Academy of General Dentistry along with eight fellowships, five diplomate certificates, and board certification in Integrative Medicine.
His work with anxious patients has earned him the AGD Humanitarian Award, the American Dental Association Access to Care Award, the Maryland Governor’s Doctor of the Year Award, Morgan State University’s Public Oral Health Care Award, the Maryland State Dental Association’s First Humanitarian Award, Special Care Dentistry’s Saul Kamen Award, and the honor of running the 2002 Olympic Torch representing Special-needs patients.  Dr. Levy also holds nine black belts, and was inducted into the US Martial Arts Hall of Fame.
 
Jarshen Lin DDS
Dr. Jarshen Lin received his doctor of dental surgery degree from Chicago’s Northwestern University in 1992 and went on to specialize in the field of endodontics at the University of Michigan in 1994. Dr. Lin serves as director of predoctoral endodontics and director of extramural education at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. In the past 11 years at Harvard, Dr. Lin has received 14 teaching awards, including the HSDM Distinguished Junior Faculty Award, the Massachusetts Dental Society Faculty Recognition Award, the American Student Dental Association Faculty Award, the student-awarded Full-Time Faculty Award, Distinguished Faculty Award, and Best Lecturer Award. In addition, he is the recipient of the 2007 Edward Osetek Educator Award from the American Association of Endodontists, the highest award accorded to junior educators in endodontics.

Dr. Lin acts as endodontics editor for various dental textbooks and serves on the editorial board of several journals. His own publications can be found in dental journals such as the Journal of the American Dental Association, General Dentistry, and Journal of Endodontics. Dr. Lin mentors many students as the faculty adviser of the Endodontics Study Club at HSDM. He also acts as a leader in numerous dental societies and associations, including the American Association of Endodontists, National Board Dental Examination Board, Master Tract of Academic of General Dentistry, and American Dental Education Association. Dr. Lin’s clinical interests range from nonsurgical endodontic treatment and surgical endodontic treatment to dental trauma. However, his research focuses primarily on developing oral health educational programs and protocols for medical staff and patients, and the systematic reviews of the literature.

Charles received hi-s BBA from the University of Texas at Arlington and is an investment advisor representative of Cain, Watters & Associates, PLLC. Charles began his career with CWA in 2001 and continues to help the company educate dentists on the financial decisions they face. Charles began presenting to dental schools in 2004 and since that time has spoken to over 15,000 students and residents at more than 40 schools. Dr. Edwin A. McDonald III received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Economics from Midwestern State University. He earned his DDS degree from the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston. Dr. McDonald has completed extensive training in dental implant dentistry through the University of Florida Center For Implant Dentistry. Gigi Meinecke DMD, FAGD

Dr. Meinecke has been teaching facial injectables nationally since 2009.  In 2013 she created FACES, (Facial Anatomy for Comprehensive Esthetic Seminars) whose core mission is to provide instruction which is completely rooted in science and based on a comprehensive academic approach.  The courses taught by Dr. Meinecke are the only offerings on this topic that include facial cadaver dissection review along with live patient injections.  In addition to teaching facial injectables, Dr. Meinecke maintains a private practice in Potomac, Maryland.  She’s immediate past President of the Maryland AGD.  Nationally, she’s a Spokesperson for the AGD and serves on the National AGD Council for Legislative and Governmental Affairs.  She been an AGD/ASDA Task Force member since 2012 and served as Chair from 2014-2016.

 
John C. Minichetti DMD, FAGD

Dr. John Minichetti has been practicing and teaching implant dentistry for over 25 years.  He has published numerous scientific articles, lectures worldwide and is a member in several academies including the New Jersey Dental Association and American Dental Association. He is an attending at Englewood Hospital, a former faculty member of Mount Sinai Medical School and Fairleigh Dickinson University Dental School. Keynote Speaker
Athlete, author, and teacher Jim Morris — whose life story inspired the Walt Disney film “The Rookie” — will be the keynote speaker at AGD 2016, in Boston. As a 35-year-old high school baseball coach, Morris sought to motivate his team by trying out for the major leagues. Three months after throwing 12-consecutive 98-mph pitches during tryouts, he realized his goal of pitching in a Major League Baseball game. Morris’ inspirational lecture will epitomize the AGD’s commitment to lifelong learning by focusing on the importance of mentorship and leadership.
 
Linda C. Niessen DMD, MPH, MPP
Dr. Niessen began her tenure as Dean, Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in October 2013.  She has authored ~80 publications, numerous chapters and a textbook, Geriatric Dentistry: Aging and Oral Health. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Dental Public Health and the American Board of Special Care Dentistry. She is past President of the American Academy of Public Health Dentistry, American Board of Dental Public Health and Friends of the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research. Dr. Niessen is a graduate of Harvard University where she received her dental degree (DMD) from the School of Dental Medicine, her public health degree (MPH) from the School of Public Health and Masters in Public Policy (MPP) degree from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.

 


 
Lori Paschall CDA, CPFDA, CRFDA, FADAA

Named one of the Top 25 Women in Dentistry for 2014 by Dental Products Report, Lori Paschall is a Past President of the American Dental Assistants Association.  Lori is a Regional Account Manager with Hu-Friedy Manufacturing Company, one of the world’s leading dental instrument companies and continues to educate dentists and their teams by providing detailed information regarding instrumentation and the proper procedures for their sterilization and infection control, has provided practices with yearly required OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens training and has consulted with dental practices wishing to help their assistants to perform at a higher level.

Lori has been a practicing dental assistant for more than 30 years.  She is a Certified Dental Assistant, a Certified Preventative Functions Dental Assistant, a Certified Restorative Functions Dental Assistant and a Fellow of the American Dental Assistants Association.  In addition to her experience as a clinical dental assistant Lori has spent several years teaching dental practice management skills to dentists and their teams.  Lori has been very active in South Carolina dentistry, serving as a planning team member of the SCDA Dental Access Days Project.  She is active in her professional organization, the American Dental Assistants Association and serves an active role in her local and state organizations.  Lori is a past president of the Columbia Dental Assistants Society and the South Carolina Dental Assistants Association.  

 
Neal Patel DDS

At Ohio State University Dr. Patel served as the Implant Prosthodontic Fellow and was responsible for establishing many of the techniques and protocols for Digital Implantology and Prosthetics. Prior to opening his private practice he worked to educate surgeons in the field of 3D-Imaging, Computer Generated Guided Implant Surgery and the art of stereo lithography in dental applications. He teaches successful integration of CBCT in private practice, streamlined clinical treatments, and how to generate additional sources of revenue with ease. Dr. Ivy D. Peltz is a Clinical Associate Professor at New York University College of Dentistry in the United States, where she serves in the capacity of Group Practice Director. She has been teaching at the College since 1994. She received a Masters in Higher Education Administration from Baruch College, The City of New York School of Public Affairs in 2005. Dr. Peltz achieved Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2007. She received a Ph.D. in the Department of Administration, Leadership and Technology program in Higher and Postsecondary Education, Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development, New York University in 2012. Dr. Peltz has presented posters, workshops, seminars and symposia at annual meetings of the Academy of Dental Materials, The International and American Associations for Dental Research, the American Dental Education Association, and the Association for Dental Education in Europe. Jay B. Reznick DMD, MD

Dr. Reznick is the Director of the Southern California Center for Oral and Facial Surgery in Tarzana, California and a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. A frequent lecturer, he has published numerous articles in JADA, Journal of the California Dental Association, Oral Surgery-Oral Medicine-Oral Pathology and Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry, DentalTown Magazine, CE Digest and Gastroenterology. Dr. Reznick has extensive clinical expertise are in the areas of facial trauma, jaw and oral pathology, dental implantology, sleep disorders medicine, laser surgery, and jaw deformities. Dale Sorenson DDS
Dr. Dale Sorenson received his D.D.S. degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry. He serves as a Lead Visiting Faculty at the Pankey Institute and was awarded the designation of Pankey Scholar. Since 2012, he has served as the Director of Essentials Education at the Pankey Institute being responsible for the curriculum and Faculty of the four core Essentials classes. Jamison Spencer DMD, MS

Dr. Jamison Spencer is the director of the Center for Sleep Apnea and TMJ in Boise, Idaho, and the director of Dental Sleep Medicine for Lane and Associates Family Dentistry in Raleigh, North Carolina.  Dr. Spencer is the Past-President of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain (AACP), a Diplomate of the American Board of Craniofacial Pain, a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine, a Diplomate of the American Board of Craniofacial Dental Sleep Medicine and has a Masters in Craniofacial Pain from Tufts University.  He taught head and neck anatomy at Boise State University and is adjunct faculty at the Tufts Craniofacial Pain Center in both the craniofacial pain residency and dental sleep medicine programs.  Dr. Spencer lectures locally, nationally and internationally on TMD, dental sleep medicine and head and neck anatomy and is a founding faculty member of the AACP’s Institute and the AACP/Tufts Dental Sleep Medicine program.

 
Evan Spivack DDS, FAGD

Dr. Evan Spivack graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School, completed residency training at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx and a fellowship in special care dentistry at Helen Hayes Hospital in West Haverstraw, NY. Currently a professor and director of the Special Care Treatment Center at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Spivack has devoted his career to both direct patient care and the education of future dentists in the provision of dental care to persons with special needs. Dr. Spivack has authored several articles in the field of special care dentistry, and has recently co-authored a textbook chapter on dental issues for persons with an autistic spectrum disorder; and he frequently lectures on topics in special patient care in dentistry. He is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, is a past president of the New Jersey AGD, and served as editor for their journal "Wisdom" for a decade.  Dr. Spivack has strong interests in interdisciplinary patient care, and is currently active with the American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry. Most recently, Dr. Spivack was named 2015 Healthcare Professional of the Year, by The Arc of New Jersey.

Donald A. Tyndall DDS, MSPH, PhD

Dr. Tyndall has been the Director of Radiology for the University of North Carolina (UNC) School of Dentistry for over 20 years and is a professor in the department of diagnostic sciences at UNC. A Diplomat and Past President of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, Dr. Tyndall currently serves as Councilor for Public Policy and Scientific Affairs of the Executive Council of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. He has maintained a private practice in oral and maxillofacial radiology since 1991. His research expertise is focused in 3D digital imaging, implant radiology, applications of CBCT in dentistry and the use of computers in image processing. His work has been published in more than 85 journal articles.

 
Lawrence N. Wallace DDS
Dr. Wallace is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon who maintained a private practice in Des Plaines, Illinois.  He is the developer and founder of the Larell One Step Denture.  He has lectured nationally and internationally and has written many articles in dental industry journals.  He has volunteered extensively and brought the Larell One Step Denture to the Mission of Mercy free dental clinic program across the country.  He has also done multiple international mission trips.  His technique is being taught at many dental schools across the country, and is being used in the faculty practice at NYU College of Dentistry.  He is also a consultant to the medical industry in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery with input in the areas of TMJ, Sleep Apnea and Dental Implantology.
