Speaker Bio: Boston; faculty, Harvard School of Dental Medicine 

Description: This hands-on course will teach general dentists how to use the latest and most efficient endodontic tools to take their practice to the next level.  The participants will gain practical skills which will improve confidence and ability to complete successful endodontic treatments.  These learned techniques will lead to more consistent, predictable, and efficient root canal treatments.  This course is only available for the participants of the Part I lecture course. 

Learning Objectives:
  1. Cleaning and shaping the root canal system using Ni-Ti Rotary files including a review on file design. Tips on using files to avoid file fracture and other inadvertent complications will also be reviewed
  2. Acquire a better understanding on when and how to implement glide path files to improve procedural efficiency
  3. Explore the available options for effective irrigation
  4. The role of obturation in endodontic care and the use of new obturation materials Modern
  5. Techniques in non-surgical retreatment.
Students to bring: Loupes, and Extracted tooth 2 access opened and canals enlargedto size #10, 1 tooth per person.
This hands on participation afternoon course includes the Thursday full day lecture, L09: What’s New and What Works in Endodontics: A Practical Course for the General Practitioner to Achieve Consistent Outcomes. You may purchase the lecture separately if you do not wish to take the participation course.
